Alternatives

This mod offers alternative pathways for choosing allies in your Baldur's Gate II or Baldur's Gate Trilogy games.

Amaurea's BG Portraits

This mod offers alternative portraits for each of the Baldur's Gate NPCs. These portraits can also be used by the PC. A preview of the portraits is available on the Portraits page.

Amaurea's BG2 Portraits

This mod offers alternative portraits for each of the Baldur's Gate II NPCs. These portraits can also be used by the PC. A preview of the portraits is available on the Portraits page.

Amber

This new NPC mod for BG2: SoA presents you with an opportunity to meet Amber, a headstrong but irresistible tiefling rogue.

Angelo

This BG2 mod adds Angelo Dosan, the fighter-turned-mage who served as your brother's henchman in Baldur's Gate. You may remember that he sentenced you to death and fought against you in the Undercity, and if you were lucky enough to mine the content, you may remember that he is Shar-Teel's father. Most likely he didn't survive your game, but people in this world seem to have a knack for not staying dead.

Auren Aseph

This mod adds Auren Aseph, a female human fighter of neutral good alignment, to the cast of recruitable NPCs in Baldur's Gate II. Auren's original soundtrack is also available as a separate download in a zip file.

The BG1 NPC Project

This WeiDU mod adds a great deal of content by expanding the depth of character and levels of interaction with the NPCs from the BG game. It also provides some optional tweaks to the BG portion of the game. This package works on both Tutu and BGT.

The BG1 NPC Music Pack (optional) is available as a separate download for The BG1 NPC Project due to its size. It adds background music for the dialogues of the various NPCs.

BG1 NPC Portrait Pack

This WeiDU mod includes alternate portraits for NPCs in Baldur's Gate. It also supports Tutu v4, EasyTutu_SoA, EasyTutu_ToB, and Baldur's Gate Trilogy.

Baldur's Gate Mini Quests and Encounters

BGQE is a mini-mod for all BG games: "vanilla" BG (with or without the add-on Tales of the Sword Coast), BG1Tutu v4, EasyTutu, or BGT. It adds several small quests and encounters to the game, including the "slime quest", jastey's former stand alone BG mini quest mod.

BG1 Tweaks

BG1 Tweaks is a WeiDU compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.

BG2 Alternate Soundtrack Mod

This mod provides an partial alternate soundtrack to Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. For our low-bandwidth users, the mod is available in smaller chunks on the project page.

The BG2 Fixpack

The BG2 Fixpack is a WeiDU compilation of fixes for Baldur's Gate II. This collaborative effort, including the work of modders from several different modding communities and assistance from BG2 lead writer David Gaider, has resulted in a fixpack that currently includes all of the fixes addressed by Baldurdash (including the Game Text Update) and several hundred new bugfixes.

Blonde Imoen

This WeiDU mod will replace all Imoen's portrait and avatar with a new version that has long blonde hair.

cliffette's Mods for BG2

cliffette has produced a number of mods for Baldur's Gate II. G3 is pleased to mirror these mods, with her permission, though they are offered 'as is' with no support for them. These WeiDU mods are available:

Coran's BG Extended Friendship Talks for Tutu and BGT

This mod expands Coran's Friendship talk sequence, adding up to eighteen (18) new banters with the protagonist (and one potential comment by Garrick)for a player character who is not in an active romance with him. If you have The BG1 NPC Project installed, they begin playing after the last regular friendship talk.

Crossmod Banter Pack

The Crossmod Banter Pack is a collaborative effort to add banters between NPC from mods. The current release covers Ajantis, Alassa, Amber, Angelo, Auren, Deheriana, Edwin (Laufey), Fade, Goo, Hubelpot, Iylos, Kari, Kelsey, Keto, Kido, Kindrek, Kitanya, Kivan of Shilmista, Nalia (JCompton), Nathaniel, Neh'Taniel, Ninde, Saerileth, Sarah, Solaufein, Tashia, Tiax (Kulyok), Tsujatha, Willie Bruce, Xan (Kulyok), and Yasraena.

Divine Remix

The Divine Remix aims to rebalance and change several aspects of divine-magic-using classes (clerics, paladins, druids, and rangers) in Baldur's Gate (via BG1Tutu) and Baldur's Gate II. The mod originally began as Cleric Remix.

eSeries

The eSeries is a collection of Party AI Scripts for Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and the expansion, Throne of Bhaal. Currently there are seven scripts included in the series: eArcher, eFighter, eMage, eMulti, ePriest, ePureF, and eThief.

Full Plate and Packing Steel

Full Plate and Packing Steel is one big rework of the armour system of BG2, IWD, BGT, and Tutu, and a small collection of tweaks, dependent or not.

The G3 Anniversary Mod

The G3 Anniversary Mod is a collaborative effort of a lot of the resident G3 modders and marks not only a celebration of our first year but our gratitude to you for helping make G3 what it is today. This is a WeiDU mod for Baldur's Gate II that adds one long quest to the Shadows of Amn portion of the game.

The G3 Debugging Suite for Baldur's Gate II

In the course of BG2 Fixpack development, several errors kept cropping up repeatedly--so much so that it became time-efficient to write some automated checking tools. With some polish, these tools are now ready to be released independently so that modders can use them to diagnose issues in their own mods.

Gavin

Gavin is an NPC mod for Tutu. He is a Morninglord of Lathander and can be found outside the Song of the Morning Temple, near Beregost.

Geomantic Sorcerer

The Geomantic Sorcerer Kit is strongly based on the Druidic Sorcerer Kit by Constant Gaw, and resurrected by hlidskialf and loosely based on the Geomancer presitige class from the AD&D 3rd Edition Masters of the Wild manual. The kit combines the sorcerer's spellcasting methods and spells with additional druidic spells and abilities and features its own unique tiered HLA progression and custom spells.

gMinion

gMinion is a series of scripts for BG2 that increase the ingame intelligence of the creatures that are summoned by Spells and Items, so that they behave more in line with the original intentions of both BioWare and more Purist D&D Roleplayers.

The Grey Clan Episode I: The Last Breath of the Past

The Grey Clan Episode I: Last Breath of the Past is moving to Black Wyrm Lair. The Grey Clan: In Candlelight is a revision of the original Last Breath of the Past mod. You can find more information on its website and discussion forum.

Icewind Dale Tweak Pack

This is a collection of tweaks that have been assembled for Icewind Dale. They were almost all made for BG2 by Idobek and CamDawg, and cannibalized by Andyr to work for Icewind Dale. It is a compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.

Icewind Dale II NPC Project

The main goal of IWD2 NPC is to give an IWD2 player the opportunity to play with joinable NPCs that are not silent. The mod allows the player to use a pre-made party or a custom character and five premade characters to allow for interaction within the party.

Icewind Dale II Tweak Pack

This is a collection of tweaks that have been assembled for Icewind Dale II. They were almost all made for BG2 by Idobek and CamDawg, and cannibalized by Andyr to work for Icewind Dale, and cannibalizated again by The Bigg to work for IWD2. It is a compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.

Improved BAMs

This is a mod for Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale created by NiGHTMARE and Andyr that Idobek repackaged with a WeiDU installer. A large number of the Baldur's Gate inventory graphics (BAMs) were improved for the sequel, so this small pack puts them back into the original. It will also work with Icewind Dale, as that re-uses many BG items.

Improved Horns of Valhalla

This is a minor modification to Baldur's Gate II that improves the berserkers summoned by the three Horns of Valhalla.

iSeries

The iSeries is a set of very beta versions of Party AI scripts for Icewind Dale II. Otherwise they appear to do most of the other things the eSeries was designed to do: Threat Level Assessment, Weapon Switching, Move to Combat, and a few other things.

Item Randomiser

Item Randomiser affects approximately 100 items in Baldur's Gate (including TotSC) and approximately 130 items in Baldur's Gate II (including ToB). Item Randomiser will randomly distribute these items throughout the game world.

Item Revisions for Baldurs Gate II

The Item Revisions mod aims to fix/tweak/enhance all items in Baldur's Gate II. Weaker items have been improved, overpowered ones have been (or will be) nerfed, many descriptions have been extended or replaced with more appropriate ones, and so on.

Item Upgrade for Icewind Dale

The Item Upgrade for Icewind Dale mod is a modest collection of upgrades for various items throughout the game. Reading through the item descriptions, the developers really took a lot of time to give many items an elaborate backstory. In many cases, I felt that an upgrade was a chance to tell a bit more of the story.

JPS' Portrait Collection

A series of portraits for the Baldur's Gate II NPCs by JPS packaged with WeiDU. The portrait pack includes two alternate Jaheira portraits and one for Aerie, Imoen, Nalia and Viconia.

Kivan and Deheriana Companions for BG2 (formerly Kivan of Shilmista)

This WeiDU mod adds a joinable NPC from BG, Kivan, and, under certain circumstances, his elven wife Deheriana to the cast of BG2 actors. The soundset has been merged into the main download package and is no longer available separately.

Level 1 NPCs

This mod allows the player to select classes and kits for all joinable NPCs, and then start them from level one (with enough experience to level up to the player immediately) so that the player can select skills, spells, proficiencies, etc.

Mod Kit Remover

The Mod Kit Remover is a WeiDU mod that will remove all mod or all mod and BioWare kits from the character creation screen. The mod was primarily made because The Darkest Day fills all available kit slots, but players wished to use kits from other mods when playing it.

Moinesse's Avatars

This WeiDU mod contains a series of new avatars and paperdolls for BG2 or IWD2. Avatars are the graphics of your characters as they walk around the game world and paperdolls are the graphics that show on the inventory screen.

Multi-Install Tool

The Multi-Install Tool is a simple program that allows multiple installs of Baldur's Gate II at a minimal size. It is written in Java and can therefore run on Windows, OS X, and Linux. This project is licensed under the GNU General Public License (version 2). As such the source code is included in the MIT package. WARNING: Multi Install tool doesn't work on Java versions after 5.1.10 . Please visit the forums to discuss and contribute to updating this mod.

Mur'Neth NPC for Tutu or BGT-WeiDU

This WeiDU mod for Tutu or BGT-WeiDU contains Mur'Neth, a member of the race of ooze - like shapechangers who venerate Ghaunadaur, the evil deity of oozes, moulds and the like.

NiGHTMARE's NPC Beautification

These portraits were done by NiGHTMARE and packaged in WeiDU by Icelus.  They provide a series of alternative portraits for many of the BioWare NPCs. A preview of the portraits can be found in NiGHTMARE's section of the Portraits page.

NPC Kitpack

This mod started as a request (by me) in the Divine Remix workroom for Anomen to be awarded a Priest of Helm kit upon passing his knighthood test. Deciding this was outside Remix's remit I quickly spun it off into its own mod--perhaps too quickly. A couple of days later I thought that the mod could be bigger and the NPC Kitpack was born, designed simply to give those NPCs without kits the chance improve their lot. Originally I had only planned on giving each NPC one of the original BioWare kits. This, however, turned out not to be feasible. This mod will add four new kits and provide the opportunity to give a kit to eight of the BioWare NPCs.

NPC Tweak

The NPC Tweak mod changes certain aspects of Baldur's Gate II NPCs. It hopes to bring them more in line with the character presented, and/or to make them more useful without deviating from their character.

Oversight

Oversight is a mod that seeks to address errors in the original game, such miscoded alignments, classes, and other issues, as well as adding new content such as Monk HLAs, a new paladin kit, and a tougher version of Sendai in Throne of Bhaal.

P&P Celestials

Something that bothered me from the first time I played Baldur's Gate II was the weakness of many of the creatures. Among these were the elemental princes, the devas and planetars, and the various demons and devils. What I have done in this WeiDU mod is to modify the Devas and Planetars that are summoned by the player so they gain most of their Monster Manual abilities and stats.

Planescape: Torment Tweak Pack

The G3 Ps:T Tweak Pack is a WeiDU compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier.

Plasmocat's Portrait Pack

This WeiDU mod provides a wide variety of ethnic portraits for the Baldur's Gate II protagonist and also alternative portraits for 13 of the joinable NPCs.

Plasmocat's "BG NPC Portraits in BG2 Style"

This WeiDU mod alters the portraits of BG NPCs to be more like the portraits in BG2.

Plasmocat's "Picks of the Litter" Portrait Pack

This collection of portraits for the player (not NPCs) is a collection of Plasmocat's favorites, many of which were commissioned for various mods and others which are just portraits she wanted to make from the photos of models she thought were interesting.

Romantic Encounters

The Romantic Encounters mod for Baldur's Gate II (RE for short) is an add-on for the game Baldur's Gate II. Romantic possibilities are endless. It could be a bit of flirting. Or several. Some innuendo. A lovers' quarrel. A one-night stand. Or even several nights together - with a 'morning after' and without. A dream. Or something else?

Sarah

This mod adds Sarah, a chaotic good ranger, to the game of Baldur's Gate II. Sarah also has a romance available for female characters and a friendship for any PC. Sarah's original soundtrack is also available as a separate download.

Scriptable Spells

Scriptable Spells fixes several SPCLxxx and SPINxxx spells that had their spell level incorrectly defined. The incorrect level definition would cause the game to crash when the spells were cast using the trigger HaveSpell(). The spells modified by this package are able to be scripted without causing the game to crash.

Sequencer Memory

seqmem.bs is a little script written by cirerrek to enable a player to remember what they have stored in their minor spell sequencers, spell sequencers, and spell triggers, after a couple of days away from the game.

Shards of Ice

This mod is Icelus' little WeiDU collection of miscellany. From Icelus: "The two quests really aren't all that bad. Not really. Well, not too much. If you install the Summon Cow spell restoration component, however, you should be ashamed of yourself. Really."

Song and Silence

This mod adds many options to those who use rogues and bards in BG2 or BG Tutu. The mod makes several changes to thieves and bards as well as offering new items, merchants, and kits. The standalone Sharpshooter Thief Kit mod has been deprecated as it is now included in the Song and Silence mod.

Sorcerer's Place Collection

This is a collection of kits and an item pack from Sorcerer's Place. The mods were originally in an older, harder-to-install format and have been converted to use a WeiDU installer. Item restrictions are also applied dynamically, meaning that the item restrictions for the Arcane Fist and Archer of Sylvanus kits will be implemented across all items in the game, including those added or altered by other mods. Polar Bear, Drizzt1180, and Creslyn wrote the original content.

Spell Revisions for Baldur's Gate II

This WeiDU mod aims to fix/tweak/enhance arcane and divine spells in Baldur's Gate II. Weaker spells have been improved, overpowered ones have been nerfed, save-or-else spells now benefit from increased saving throw penalties, and so on.

sporeboy!'s Alternate Female NPC Portrait Pack

This WeiDU mod provides alternate portraits for the female BioWare NPCs in BG2: Aerie, Imoen, Jaheira, Mazzy, Nalia and Viconia. You also get an alternate Valen portrait for Wes Weimer's Valen mod. All of these portraits are optional. These portraits are copyright © Atomic Incorporated, 2004. You can also find more at www.sporeboy.com.

Sword and Fist

Sword and Fist adds new options for those using warrior classes: Fighters, Monks and perhaps eventually Barbarians. It is designed for use with either Baldur's Gate Tutu, Baldurs Gate Trilogy, or Baldur's Gate II.

Sword Coast Stratagems

Sword Coast Stratagems (SCS) is a collection of about 55 mini-mods for BG1Tutu and Baldur's Gate Trilogy. SCS is primarily a tactical mod - the idea is to make combat more interesting and tactically challenging, rather than just making it harder by brute-force methods like tripling all the damage rolls. SCS also includes a few ease-of-use features and tweaks.

Sword Coast Stratagems II

Sword Coast Stratagems II is a collection of mini-mods for Baldur's Gate II, affecting both Shadows of Amn and the Throne of Bhaal extension. Like its Tutu predecessor, SCS II is mostly a tactics mod, intended to make the combats in the game more challenging and interesting. Overall, playing SCS II shouldn't exactly feel like a whole new game - it should feel like the old game, but with your foes acting much more intelligently and realistically.

Totemic Cernd

Totemic Cernd is a minor modification to Baldur's Gate II that changes Cernd's druid kit from that of a Shapeshifter to a Totemic Druid. In the process, cirerrek also decided to increase Cernd's physical statistics somewhat to make him a reasonably attractive alternative to other clerics or druids, such as Jaheira or Anomen.

tSeries

Like the eSeries for BG2, tSeries is a set of Player AI scripts for Planescape: Torment. The basis for these scripts comes from Gebhard Blucher's Planescape: Torment Player AI Scripts. cirerrek borrowed the scripts that he created and expanded upon them so that they are a bit more comprehensive in terms of spell usage and item usage.

Tyris Flare

Tyris Flare is a red-haired amazon from ye olde Golden Axe computer games that were released on the Sega Mega Drive (or Genesis in America) and arcade machines in the 90s.

Unfinished Business for Icewind Dale

Like its predecessors for Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II, Unfinished Business for Icewind Dale aims to restore content and quests that were omitted from the game as shipped. The additional content in this mod is based on what I can piece together from various game resources.

uScript

uScript or "Universal" Script is a Player AI script for BG2 SoA & ToB. It was created by Rich Martel. G3 is supplying it here, because we are unaware of any other place where it exists and some may find it useful. Please note that G3 will not be providing any support for this script or any of the other items contained in the package.

The Wheels of Prophecy

Wheels of Prophecy adds new content, dialogue, and roleplaying options to the Throne of Bhaal expansion, giving players a chance to explore Chapter 9 in a less linear manner.

Widescreen Mod

The Widescreen Mod allows Planescape:Torment, Baldur's Gate: Tales of the sword Coast, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter and Icewind Dale II to be played at previously unsupported resolutions, like those of widescreen monitors. The project is currently an open beta, and only some engine variants are supported, those these will expand in future releases.
