Demivrgvs Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Is there a way to reproduce the melee touch effect in bgII? I think it exists in Icewind Dale II... If not what attack bonus do you think should be given to melee touch attack to simulate the effect? I was thinking something between + 3 or +5...
Demivrgvs Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 Well if it's the only way i'll go for it...thanks!
Blaellyn Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Why don't you just edit the touch "weapons" to give a +4 Thac0 bonus?
Demivrgvs Posted April 29, 2007 Author Posted April 29, 2007 It's exactly what Echon suggested and what i did.
Nythrun Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 It's pretty common in BG2 for magically created "touch" weapons to get +6 to hit, rather than +4. Though that +6 is intended to represent strength bonus + enchantment bonus + touch bonus, so it's often a poor deal (probably part of why no one ever uses these spells, aside from Harm - the other part being that what they do is in general not good).
Demivrgvs Posted April 29, 2007 Author Posted April 29, 2007 Yeah touch spells are not worth a slot... I'm thinking how to rebalance them in my modded version of the ADpack mod.
