Romance broken - how to view lovetalks?

Hi, I was playing through the Dynaheir romance, but at some point toward the end of the game the romance broke. Since I'm just about finished with the game I would be satisfied with just reading the remaining lovetalks to see what happens. How can I view the lovetalk dialogs outside of the game? Thanks.

Are you sure it's broken? Check out the guide, see if you are simply in Bhaal-related cool-down portion.

If not, you can check the TRA files in your BG1NPC folder, look for something like X#DYROM.tra or X#DYLT.tra

Thanks Domi. That's what I was looking for.

How would you view those files? I like looking at the responses to options that I'm too chicken to use in game (the mean ones, mainly...) but I can't seem to open them with Infinity Explorer or Near Infinity. There are some .d files that I thought were dialogues but can't get them to open with anything either. With most other mods that aren't from G3 they send the .dlg files to the overide, and if I'm curious I just have a little root around in there, but I notice that isn't the case here. Not complaining, though, as I have to say the BG1 NPC project and the Kivan mod are the two best ones I've ever played, but that just makes me even more eager to find out what could have been :(

Thanks!

You can open D files using a text editor like Notepad. Just right click and select "open with" or Open=>select from list=>Notepad.

Ahh, I figured. Guess there isn't any way to view the dialogues in InfExp or something like that? It's just harder to follow when it's just lines and lines (as beautifully written as they are...) If not, just looks like I'll have to play through it...again! Oh, the sacrifices I make for my curiosity :(

If BG1NPC is installed, you should be able to open the dialogues with DLTCEP or NI. This might've been added to _DYNAHJ.DLG in Tutu or something similar. Otherwise, you could use WeiDU to COMPILE_D_TO_DLG, then you could open it with DLTCEP or whatever. But it might not make much sense without the other context.

Yes, strange as it may sound, mods indeed are done for playing. :(

However,

WEIDU _xanj.dlg

command in your TUTU folder(provided you have weidu.exe at hand(just rename Setup-BG1NPC.exe)) should help - a .d file is much easier to read. Other NPC dialogues follow the same pattern.
