Creature Class

Will changing the creature file's class cause the game to crash? Not to give away my mods plot elements so I will use a different example.

 

Mindflayer. Changing the mindflayers class from mindflayer to vampire, so it will have undead immunities and disadvantages. Should not be a problem, right?

It won't cause a problem, but it won't convey any special properties (beyond some hardcoded associations like racial enemy and items and spells that specifically target the vampire class).

To convey the invulnerabilities, you need to check the items of a vampire creature and create one on your target critter. The target might have items on its own (if you cloned it from official source).
