There is another one, I think.

 

I had this banter between Gavin and the PC:

 

Gavin: You really care whether or not your companions are content, don´t you?

 

 

After this banter had finished, the follow banter between Gavin and the PC is starting:

I had Lovetalks between Gavin and the PC. I think I had 2 or 3 Lovetalks.

I don't think you actually did get a bug. I think you just got whomped with several flirts at once, besides a lovetalk.

 

I think I'm going to have to refine the timers, though, because you aren't the first person to notice that the flirts can come rather close together.

 

He'll quiet down soon, though. ;)

Well, I've been playing with Gavin for a while, no bugs, except for some typos that I'm too lazy to write down and report, and suddenly there is a big problem with his second quest :/ With the Bassilus one everything went smoothly, but after talking with messenger when I go with Gavin to Keddath, Keddath's dialogue isn't changed, and Gavin still thinks he has to go to the temple and reminds my PC about it :) I'm not romancing him, if this matters.

That's weird. I didn't change the code at all for this, and it worked in v1.2.

 

Hmmm. You didn't, by any chance, install v1.3 without uninstalling 1.2 first, did you?

 

In any case, if you can use the console, you can get Kelddath to say his bit to Gavin by typing in

Nope, that's a clean install, and I've never played w/ Gavin before.

The only thing I see wrong with your saved game is what I told you to enter. According to your quest variables, the Bassilus quest is over and done, as is Mutamin's quest. Gavin's special quest is underway. So it looks like everything is OK.

 

However, I did give you a bum steer when I didn't understand what the problem was. Please set

I think the problem might be that I've got a !Dead("bassilus") trigger on the script block that triggers the complaint, but I don't on the script blocks where he actually does the complaining.

 

Gavin uses a two-part script for talks. The first cues the talk, the second starts it. The two blocks usually fire in rapid succession, but sometimes, something happens that interrupts that sequence, and the funkiness you're seeing results.

 

He shouldn't complain again. But just in case, don't overwrite this saved game!

 

I'll add !Dead("bassilus") checks to the script blocks in question, just in case somebody else kills Bassilus between his first complaint triggering and it actually happening.

Again, no reaction :/

Also, when Gavin leaves (because I didn't go to the temple of Lathander, even if I'm standing in the doorframe) he says something along the lines of "If you hurry you'll meet me in the temple" - but he doesn't really appear there. Is he supposed to vanish outright or not?

Anyway, I'll try reinstalling the mod, maybe that'll help...

Never mind. He did. And that block *does* have a !Dead("bassilus") check on it. Not only that, but the other variables are set up so the complaint *can't* fire. I checked the SPRITEISDEADBASSILUS, and it's set at one, so he's dead all right. I don't know why this is happening, but I'm looking into it.
