Yoshimo says: "Goodnight ladies" ?

In this new game I've just started, when an NPC is kicked out of the party, they say something different from the vanilla game (Yoshimo says Goodnight Ladies) and then they are gone forever.

Actually, this is kind of cool since it is realistic (i.e. Viconia is not going to wait around the Graveyard forever until you come get her). It also makes party-change decisions quite important with long-lasting consequences. At first I hated this, but it's growing on me.

But the question is, what mod does this?? My weidu log:

No idea! How strange. Yoshi's got his own P file and everything!

Very strange indeed! And I KNOW it's not anything on that Weidu log above BG2Tweaks. Because I've used that install order before and experience nothing to this effect.

So, the only mods are really Lvl1NPC and Banter pack. And I only have the accelerater script installed for banter pack. And I certainly don't see Lvl1NPC doing this.

A mystery! But it's pretty fun. I actually got up for a sandwich to decide who to kick out. Role playing at it's best! hehe

Heh, yeah I don't remember sitting around a PnP table and party members getting kicked out and asking if they should "go to the nearest inn and wait forever."

Is there any way to reinstall Yoshi's P dlg file only?

It's not just Yoshi, but every character who says that. The actual line is 1 of 2 lines, chosen randomly. The two lines are:

"Goodnight Ladies, Ladies Goodnight"

to which you can reply

"Goodnight and Goodbye." (they leave forever)

"Get back in the party."

"It was a pleasure traveling in your party. Good luck"

to which you can reply

"Bye"

"Please rejoin the party."

I just hope this doesn't interfere with any other part of the game, such as the pocket plane. Has anyone heard of this before? I think the mods I used are pretty common mods.

He wouldn't go to the dialogues tab, because YOSHIMP is already in the game. He'd go to the 2DA tab, and look for pdialog.2da.

I had trouble figuring out how to install and use it, I remember that. But I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree. Maybe you could explain it for him?

Edit: again, with the punctuation errors. Sorry, Ace, the memory of installing my modding tools is not fresh in my mind.

dizzyorange: You can download NI here, and follow the installation instructions provided. Once you're there, and it's installed, you could run it and follow the instructions in the second sentence.

When you get to the computer that has NI, go to the 2DA tab and open pdialog.2da. You'll see a column marked "P file" If you could report what you see there, that would help diagnose your problem.

I think there's actually a way to run it from the bat file, if you're having trouble with the jar.

I'm having the same exact problem with Calin. He says the same lines too. I'm glad I saw this thread cause I've been trying to figure out how to fix it. Still isn't fixed tho, gave up and went back to finishing up some dialogue
