the bigg
Two further questions (sorry, but these 'install but not works' problem are hard to track down): the computer running 1600x1200 uses Vista or XP? Also, can you set (windowed) 1440x900 on the desktop? Link to comment
Guest Guest
I'm sure my laptop can handle it, it has 256mb dedicated vram and 3GB ram. The resolution its at is the lowest possible , something like 640x480 maybe I'm not 100% sure. I'm still having the same problem. It's very strange. Link to comment
Guest Guest
The PC running 1600x1200 has XP and the PC I'm trying to get it to work on has Vista and I want it to run at 1440x900. And setting it to windowed mode on the desktop works fine. Link to comment
the bigg
I'll re-ask the question: can you use WSM to play 1440x900 (eventually windowed) in the desktop? If so, it means the mod doesn't work with Vista. Link to comment
Amgot
Just FYI, it works fine for me on Vista at 1280x800.... Link to comment
the bigg
Right. So it's not Vista. Fact is, there are a couple of people who can install the thing but having it fail silently. And this is troublesome, because there's no discernible cause-effect relation, save for a generic "the user did something stupid" and I can't fix it. Of course, since I am not Kulyok, I am fine with a mod not working for some if I can't discern the cause, as long as it works for me. Link to comment
Guest Guest
Is there anything I need to change in the configuration screen to make it work? I've done a full uninstall og BG II and ToB, making sure that I removes everything including compatability files before reinstalling it. After the reinstall I installed the latest patch 2.something98 and then I installed the fix pack, and then I ran the game, untill the opening scene. I quit after the first auto save, installed WSM and then ran the game. Its still not working but just to be 100% sure I havent done anything wrong right? Thx for all the responses, and sorry for stealing the thread from the OP. Link to comment
the bigg
Sorry for the late reply to all people reading this thread. An other user reported that in Vista you need to disable UAC before installing WSM, so this might help you as well. Link to comment
