Dragonlance TC Alternate Casting System

I'm looking for a copy or some more details on the Dragonlance TC Alternate Casting system mod that used to be available through the modlist (the link is dead now). It is described briefly as a mana based system, and I'm curious about how it works.

Basically:

 

The spell CFB's have been modified to decrease a variable.

Mage dplayer scripts have been modified to do various nasty things if the variable is below 0.

Resting resets the variable based on level.

So were there still distinct spell levels, or did the player know all the spells and different spells cost different amounts of 'mana' to use?

Mana cost was level based, i think. But why don't you check some of the spells?

Yes, they are both WeiDU mods. The Bigger (DLTCDemo100.exe+DLTCDemo100a.exe) is the original Dragonlance TC-in-auto-installer.exes, the smaller is a WeiDU mod that only has the Alternate Casting System.
