I met Alchra Diagott

I met Lich Alchra Diagott in the underdark. He's one of the trapped souls.

He casts Time Stop, then a series of spells, among them Remove Magic and Symbol Stun.

Then my hero is stunned, then magic is removed, he's free. It often happens with Lichs.

 

Then, he casts Wail of the Banshee. My hero fails his ST (I guess so, since the game says nothing), but he's still alive. He's wearing the famous Cloak of Mirroring (TOB version + fixpack 4: deflection, no FX).

Wail of the Banshee is blocked by the Cloak of Mirroring (which blocks spells with the secondary type "Offensive Damage", which Wail of the Banshee is).

OK, I didn't know that.

I'm surprised because I wouldn't have thought the cloak would block sounds.

Then again, the caster's allies are immune to the effect.

Anyway, this cloak is pretty cool!
