-in the "drinking talk," Angelo calls Evermead "cheap" and the "sailor's friend," but I checked and it is actually very expensive! Maybe he should say "bitter black ale" instead.

 

-in my attempt to make Last Regrets simulate splint mail, I forgot to mention that the AC in the description should be changed to 2 as well (but it should still say +2 on top)

-some day I should probably go through the whole thing and either move or change Angelo's interjections so they only occur when other NPCs interject, and you don't get that thing where your dialogue options trigger off of his line, rather than a quest NPC's (I started writing it when I hadn't played the game for over a year)

Lotus eaters have random dialogue, so it'd trigger one time out of six or so. With Tassa, it's likely there the second time you speak to her.

 

Anyway, to answer all interjections-related questions at once: you can check all interjections yourself: download and install Infinity explorer, load BG2 in it(with installed Angelo), and check the dialogues (Renal would be Renal, Tassa would be Tassa, and so on. In other cases, you'll have to check for the dialogue file name in Angelo's files first): you'll quickly see where and how they trigger. Will be useful for any and all revision, too.

Just like with Bioware NPCs, Angelo has to be the one who speaks with the gypsy. I just checked - with these conditions it works in my game.

 

Doesn't work for me. Might be a Mac thing. Also, with the lotus eaters, I talked to both of them several times--Yoshimo's and (I think) Jaheira's comments triggered, and I got a repeat of "no comment" dialogue.

I'm sorry to hear it doesn't work for you. Let me see what I can do to troubleshoot...

 

EDIT: Searching for PC-Mac issues doesn't reveal anything of the like, Amber code is compatibility-friendly, and since it works in my game... well, it works. (Yes, I remember your portrait edit didn't, but this one really does. :) ) I can't work with your saved game, obviously, but please, post your Weidu.log here(a file in your bg2 directory). And, yes, a clean install as per this topic should help.

 

Aaand EDIT 2: one thing we can do is replace random-dialogue lotus interjection for a top-priority chain: Angelo interjects on the first click.

 

 

 

P.S. About Tatu: you know both of these girls have families, boyfriends and kids, and one of them is pregnant again, right? :)

I'm at the abducted-by-Bodhi part of the game, and I've hit a sizeable bug-- after her line "You don't want to know what my worst is", we go to cutscene, she does her hip-wiggle routine, then sort of "snaps" upright. Nothing happens after that-- no cutscene completion, no way to get back to the game short of just shutting it down, so I can't check to see if variables have fired, etc.

 

I'm guessing a compatibility issue of some kind, rather than an Angelo-issue.

 

He really is wonderful, BTW!

It might be a case of a bad download, especially since it's beta 4 - the cutscene simply didn't download/unpack. Please, uninstall beta 4 fully, delete Angelo directory, unpack and install Angelo v1, and continue your game. If you have other mod NPCs in the party, use their string fixers(for example, with Xan, Kelsey or Angelo, select this NPC and hit K).

Just a few minor things I noticed -

 

- when they are in a dungeon/underground, and Angelo says something about getting a few chairs, the text doesn't match what the audio says (I think it is something like chairs/armchairs or something like that)

 

- after the mercenaries attack, and Yoshimo asks to see the warrant notice that triggers before the PC had even checked the bodies and picked up the notice (because I was thinking, "what is Yoshimo talking about?).

 

 

Also, I found it rather interesting that characters like Jaheria and Minsc's comments about Angelo joining don't come until after the PC says that he can join. I can't remember if you offer the player a chance to say no based on their comments or not, but I thought it would have been more interesting to have them interject.

Hmm. Not really a problem, but when I attacked Angelo without talking to him at the graveyards, he began to talk incoherently with an Alvin & the Chipmunks voice while not resisting. Poison induced delirium, I guess? :)

 

(What? I was playing solo, and the PC had no reason to stop and chat with an old enemy. And he hates odd numbers, therefore feeling compelled to give him another sword to fix that. ;) )

His soundset should be patched at installation. Very likely, it's a textbook case of "sometimes things get a little messed up during an installation. Select Angelo and press K, and everything will be all right". Try that.

Actually, his soundset is perfectly fine inside the party. The soundset weirdness came from fighting him outside of the party, when first meeting him. I was more wondering about him not resisting my eviscerating him: just stood there doing nothing while hostile.

And, no, can't say anything about the soundset weirdness. If you mean strange war cries in Japanese, this is Sister Vigilante's original intent, and I'm afraid I can't do anything about it. :)
