Bugs and typos for V1

When my group (Minsc, Valygar, Imoen, Nalia, Angelo and myself) returned from the Underdark, I asked Angelo a question, and he responded as if I were female and flirting with him. Prior to the Underdark, he would give opinions about the members of the group and answer other questions. I don't know when the bug started.

Hmm. Sorry, I don't know what you mean by PID menu, unless you're referring to the action or conversation options responding to Angelo's comment.

 

I only remember that I decided that I should ask Angelo some more questions regarding our fellow group members because I had been talking almost exclusively with Nalia, and it had been some time since I had talked with Angelo. He starts referring to me as I were a female and complaining and rambling about Solaufein, Solaufein's intentions as if he were jealous of the Drow. It was just so out of whack because my pc is a male ranger romancing Nalia, because my understanding of the Angelo mod is that he is interested in females, not males and because I expected him to give a choice to opine about members in our group, recall his childhood, maybe talk about Sarevok, etc. For some reason, I thought I was given an option to flirt with him, but I could be confusing that with the Fading Promises mod. There are also dialog options to ask him personal questions about the number of women he has slept with and about love.

 

Regardless, I have played further into the game (finished the moneylender part of the fighter stronghold quest and finished Fading Promises) and in my most recent dialog with him, his conversation choices were in line with what I expected based on the game prior to entering the Underdark.

 

Sorry that I can't be more specific, but, when it occurred to me to report this bug, I had already advanced in the game such that I only remembered my gut reaction and things in general about the conversation. I did not pursue any more conversations with him until just recently and only after I saved the game so that I could reload if the same conversation arose.

 

BTW, is anyone supposed to be dogging his tail? So far, IIRC, all that's happened is one encounter with some bounty hunters and the scene when he joins. In game, it's around 55 days and counting. Nor have we done every quest available to the party in the game.

Ah, okay, got it. Yeah, it's "Reaction to Solaufein" that should be romance-specific, but since it was added just before the deadline and under stress, I must've missed the scripting part. It will be corrected for v2, thank you!

 

And - yes, flirting with the undead guy for the males must be Fading Promises, and asking Angelo about his first love and his women is allowed for both genders(in fact, some options are specifically reserved for males, i.e. "boys talk").

Yes, please, follow Amaurea's advice. They go like this: a thug with two extra thugs in Athkatla, four wizards in Windspear Hills, a "I serve the Flaming Fist!"(had to extract this line from BG1 - you wouldn't believe they don't have it in BG2) guy in the Docks, and then, finally, some time after, a guy will come and arrest Angelo in Athkatla, and then the big adventure begins.

I just noticed what looks like a typo during Angelo's dialog when you originally meet. He says something to the effect that he was temped. I figure it should read tempted. It took place when asking him why I should trust him.

You can summon a romanced version of Angelo using the Fate Spirit...even if your character is male! (And get a "ma'am yes ma'am" response)
