Conditional replies tutorial

Is there a tutorial somewhere out there that can show me all the different sorts of conditions I can put on character replies in dialogue?

 

So stuff like class, race, high *insert stat*, etc. of the PC?

 

I just want to make sure I'm actually doing this right, rather than have it fall apart later...

This is where the IESDP is your friend.

 

You want to look at Actions, Indentifiers and Triggers.

 

The Triggers will specify an ids file (usually) which you can find listed in the Identifiers section.

 

Most of the Actions listed in IESDP come with code examples, the Triggers section could probably benefit by having something similar. Though you can simply do a search in NI if need an example from the game.

Oh, yeah, cool, but I was sort of thinking a step-by-step guide might be handy, just to make sure I'm doing it right.

 

I suppose it might really be a bit superfluous, though.
