devSin Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Enough with the codeboxes already! In any case, excepting the ChangeAnimation(NoEffect)?() guys, that looks about right. Isn't UDGIRL part of the drow transformation (UDMAN is the male version)? Doesn't MoveGlobal(Object)?() take a script name (i.e., you're not getting anything useful checking it)? Link to comment

Basically, c6kach2.cre is supposed to be the turned version of Kachiko i.e. after she gets dominated and bitten by a vampire. IIRC, I've fixed this in RR a long time ago, but I'm at work now and I don't have access to all the relevant files, so I'll post more on this later. Link to comment

Long ago, when I first thought of improving the Shadow Thief allies which come to the party's aid during the fight with Bodhi in Chapter 6, I noticed that Arkanis had an unused dialogue line which referred to Kachiko being killed and subsequently turned into a vampire. For a while, I thought about restoring that sequence, but ultimately, I abandoned the idea. Presumably, c6kach2.cre was to be used there: Wh-what?! Kachiko! But... but she just died! If the dead can be turned so quickly by this creature, we must defeat her, <CHARNAME>, we must!! Link to comment

I can also vouch that some of these are indeed used--firamb05.cre is the dead version of troll firamb03.cre (via firamb03.bcs) in Firkraag's dungeon, ar1202. Link to comment

Some of these are in the monster/animal summoning 2das as well as spawngrp.2da (which I'm pretty sure isn't used in BG2, but still).I looked into the code and saw some 2DA references, but yeah, looking at the list again, things like HOBGOBSU and KOBOLDSU should be used. Come again? SPAWNGRP is most definitely used... there are columns that are never referenced, however (I had a list once of all the groups that are actually used and the ones that are junk). It's pretty close now. While this is about as low as priorities go, I'd not mind taking a walk through the remainder of the fixpack at some point and snipping out unused references.
