BGTutu question

Hey there. I'm trying to get this mod working for BGTutu and I can't seem to get any results. My question is this: do I run the Widescreen mod setup from the BaldursGateTutu directory, or the original BGII install?

I would also like to point out that I have patched everything up to the latest version, and have no mods except for maybe a fixpack (and it's the G3 one I believe).

FYI, the game starts and runs just fine after installing the WS mod. It does seem to switch to fullscreen after the install as well (I typically play windowed so my eyes don't bleed). Also, I've tried starting new games and tried older saves as well.

Dunno if any of that helps, but I figured I'd throw it in here just in case.

The game always comes up in 800x600 (or whatever the default res is in BG) even after I install the WS mod. Fullscreen, windowed...it's all the same.

Basically, it looks like BG would if I ran it fullscreen straight out of the box.

Are you sure you installed to the correct game directory, have started the game at least once before installing WSM at all, didn't install while the game was running, etc.?

D:\Program Files\BaldursGateTutu

D:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA

Only difference there is I've got it on the D: drive as opposed to the standard C:, but that shouldn't matter, right?

As far as running the game once, I had been playing for a bit before I found the WS mod and installed it. However, if I needed to start up my other BGII install at least once (e.g. D:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA) then the answer is no.

I would also like to point out that when I initially installed BGTutu, I did a fresh install and installed everything in the correct order. The only mod I've tried to add since installing was this one.

And finally, I may only have a couple brain cells still swimming around (albeit in circles probably) after college, but I did wait to install WSM after I had turned the game off. :)

Look, you did something stupid and I can't exactly enter your computer to figure out what stupid thing you did. In these cases, carefully retracing your steps (including completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game) should help you figure out exactly what you did wrong.

Hey, I answered your question. Just because you don't have a clue what's wrong doesn't mean I did something "stupid". I appreciate your feeble attempts to help, but perhaps you should roll out of bed on the other side tomorrow, eh?

Oh, and when making dismissive post like that, you should probably save your finger strength and just type "Hold your breath and die" or something similar.

Enjoy your non-working mod, I suppose. Since you've been the first person with this problem and have thus been unable to provide enough info to let me reproduce the bug and/or identify the problem, I always assume 'wrong installation procedure' - which in 90% of cases turn out to be the cause.

And I lack the patience others have for trying to extract enough information out of you until I can succesfully help you.

Alright, that seems a reasonable enough answer. Therefore, I will in turn retract my previous statements and attempt to be reasonable myself. In pursuit of such reasonableness (is that a word?) and in attempt to prove my utmost sincerity, I will attempt to do as you have suggested.

If it still doesn't work after all that I'll let you know.

Oh, and all I'm trying to point out in my last post is that you could have simply said "I don't have enough info to help you out", or something similar, as opposed to being a condescending jerk.

Anyhow, like I said, no hard feelings and I'll let you know if it doesn't work after reinstalling.
