Qwinn
Hello all... sorry to ask for help concerning a mod that isn't officially G3, but my spanish isn't good enough to comfortably ask on the original, and there are links to their site on this board, so... help me? Please? Okay... my favorite portrait pack is the one from Clan Dlan: http://corellon.clandlan.net/index.php?pag...PortraitPackBG1 Some great stuff there, and I'm using a lot of the portraits from it (if I'm going to be romancing Dynaheir I need a better pic than the original, heh, one of their alternates works for me! Great Branwen pic for a romance with her too.). In fact, I'd even like to use some of them for my own PC's picture (one of the Coran alternates is great for a berserker fighter PC, I think). The mod claims to allow you to do this, and in fact you can, for the medium and small sized pictures. But even though the mod does include the "huge" size pictures in the mod's directory, I don't get them as options when picking the initial "huge" picture for my character, I can only see the original pictures that come from the vanilla game. Hitting the "custom" button only allows you to change the medium and small ones. Is this an engine limitation? Or is there a way I can get the big picture to be from the portrait pack? I realize that the huge picture is almost never used, and probably only comes into play in ending cut scenes or something, but still, it's irritating having to pick a picture during character creation that doesn't look like I envision my character at all. Thanks for any help! Qwinn Link to comment
Miloch
As you say, you can only specify medium and small custom portraits (as opposed to default portraits) during character creation. I'm not positive, but the list of default portraits you see might be hardcoded or something. Though if you wanted you could probably overwrite some of those with new ones. Link to comment
berelinde
The only thing you are ever going to use the huge portraits for is the epilogues. So if you're talking about your PC portraits, or even portraits for a BG1 only game, don't worry about it. All you need are the medium and small ones. Link to comment
Rabain
And if you want portraits for everyone else you meet in the game, please try my BG Character Portrait mod. Available at the Download section of my site, link in my sig below. Link to comment
