I was installing the BG1NPC Project in my EasyTutu game, and the DOS prompt runs forever, then gets an error about how too many files are open. Anyone know how to fix this?

Did you have other mods with perhaps older or newer versions of the weidu installer?

I had a similar situation where one mod I installed was with the new 204 version of weidu and it was trying to update some older versions that were present. For some reason the new 204 weidu has trouble updating versions older than 200/201. I'll give you my solution and then you can try it and see if it helps.

 

1) Open windows explorer and navigate to the game directory

2) Sort the files by application so that you can get all your exe files together.

3) Look at the mod setup exe files. Most start with setup.

4) Check the size for each file.

 

If they are all the same, I don't know what your problem is.

If at least one is smaller:

1) Copy and paste one of the larger within the same directory.

You should have "Copy of setup-whatever.exe"

2) Go to rename the smaller setup exe file and copy that name (including the extension) to the clipboard (ctrl-c)

3) Delete the smaller sized setup exe file

4) Rename the "Copy of setup-whatever.exe" to what you have in clipboard.

 

That is how to manually upgrade weidu from one version to another in windows
