Geomancer does SCS II

Recommended Posts

I'm starting a new game as a Geomantic Sorcerer (Caedwyr's kit) to play though SCS II. This'll be my first time playing an evil character. Plan to use the traditional all-evil team: Korgs, Viconia, Sarevok, Edwin, and the PC:

Chaotic Neutral wanderer-type dude with a quick temper :suspect:

Going with a simple mod-set to avoid bugs.

I'll be interested in hearing how effective the kit is in practice against challenging content. Where it seems especially overpowered and what the effective drawbacks are.

What I would be interested in is if one could use the extra Geomancer unique abilities for other classes(such as a Fighter/Wild Mage/Thief) without causing a CTD - I would, of course, use shadowkeeper to add these abilities in.

As long as the kit is installed (and hence the "unique abilities"), you should be able to give them to other kits if you wanted to. Just make sure to get the right abilities; CA#DSOR.2da and luGE0.2da are good places to look. The luGE0.2da is the HLAs, CA#DSOR.2da are the abilities awarded on level up.

The only trouble is that I would only be able to access the extra spells or the once-a-day abilities. I have no idea as to how to use ShadowKeeper to add in the constant, ever-present abilities - anyone know how this could be done? Thanks, SD.

If I understand the question correctly: Check the Effects list for the character. Check the IESDP ToB Effects list for a guide when copying/modifying them. Note that SK doesn't seem to allow you to create effects from scratch, though you can copy/modify existing ones. Create a standard Geo Sorc first, then copy his effects.
