romantic encounters problem

I try to install the mod, unfortunately whilst installing on that DOS-like window, i keep getting the same length of text repeated constantly:

hopefully thats enough of it for someone to help me. is this normal and its just an extra long install? or is it in direct conflict with other mods i have there? whats the best course of action?

The last time something like that happened to me, I had forgotten to install the official patch.

 

Did you start with a clean, patched install?

If the updater just loops over and over without actually installing the mod, it might be a Vista thing. At least it only ever happened to me on the Vista machine, and then it happened about one time in five. The only thing you can do is close the window manually and then restart setup-mymod.exe.

I don't have Vista on my machine. Maybe there are multiple causes for something like this?

I do wonder how a NSIS installer can possibly do this; I hope v3, packed with Weidu 204, will not keep at it. Anyway, your solution is exiting and running Setup-RE.exe in your BG2 directory.
