Shapeshifter Paw Disappears

I have BG2 ToB installed and patched, plus: G3 Fixpack, G3 Tweak Pack, Solaufein Mod,and Valen Mod.

 

Cernd's shapeshifting paw/claw keeps disappearing from his weapon slot. Sometimes when he's resting, sometimes when changing areas, and sometimes seemingly randomly. It disappears completely: it's not just being moved to his backpack.

 

I've searched the forums here, and not found anything - does anyone have any ideas?

Why not create a new paw with the Shapeshift Werewolf ability? The ability is not lost after its first use. Every time that you rest, the ability is available again. I'll look into this issue (because I'm working with an adjusted version of SR in one of my mods), however, and let you know if I find anything useful.

Hello,

 

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. The paw, be it the regular or greater one, just disappears at random.

 

What I'm running is:

 

BG1+TotSC+DTotSC+NTotSC+SCS+BG2+ToB+TDD+SoS+Tactics+BG Worldmap all in one - BG Trilogy. Also BG2 Tweaks (installed just before the Worldmap) and the BG2 Fixpack (installed before BGT, as instructed). I followed the installation to the letter. I did the reinstall from scratch 3 times already (starting from a clean folder and redownloading stuff) and it's still happening.

 

During this game it's happening in the BG1 part (just starting the DSotSC part). On my previous game it started happening in Irenicus' dungeon but luckily stopped by itself once I left the Waukeen Promenade. Sometimes it takes a swing or two for the paw to sidappear completely. Sometimes it's there for a few minutes without any problems. Thing is, if it happens mid fight I can recreate the paw... but then it often disappears a few seconds later and I'm toast during the heavier fights. Also, sometimes it's enough if I walk and it just *poof* disappears. So anything can trigger it, even walking.

 

One note though... I remember playing just BG2 and ToB some years ago with just the Weimer mod and the exact same thing was happening. So I'm guessing there's something wrong there...

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it's pretty annoying :p Also, I made the other NPCs Shapeshifters in one of my games (in SK - so that I have a wolfpack :p) and all of them had this issue... Basically I couldn't finish it that way.

And there are more than few mods that give mod-ed Shapeshifter kits 1, 2, 3, 4... so you might want to solve this problem that way.

Well, the thing is I had the exact same issue without running the BGT Mega Mod :p So I'm pretty sure it's not related. Though you never know...

 

And sorry for the topic resurrection, I figured the issue would be easier to solve if there were other inputs on it. Thing is not a lot of people play as Shapeshifters. Probably a side effect of the terrible terrible vanilla implementation...

 

And here's my log. The Upgraded Item fixes Carsomyr and adds some new items to the game. Also from Weimer. And it's the first time I am using it, so I guess it's not it either.

 

I will also try using the Ultimate Shapeshifter mod. Though I have no idea how it will affect my Shapeshifter/Fighter once I dual class (which profficiencies to take etc)...
