Ultimate BG2 SoA and ToB Mod Experience

I have been playing BG2 for several years now and, after growing somewhat bored, I began using a few of the mods I found here on Gibberlings, on Weidu, and on Pocket Plane. I have had so much fun that I thought it might be good to try to create an "ultimate" BG2 experience using all the great mods that I could find.

However, I am unsure of a few things so I thought I would launch my questions here:

Has anyone already tried to make an "ultimate" list of the mods needed for an epic game?

If not, in what order would I install the following mods to achieve this?

Are there any incompatibilities?

The mods I want to install are the following:

From Weidu:

Ascension

Ease-of-Use

Item Upgrade

Tactics

Under-represented

Solaufein

From Gibberlings:

G3 Anniversary Mod

Sorcerer's Place Collection

Song and Silence

Divine Remix

Fixpack

Tweakpack (I have heard of some problems with Weidu's EoU)

NPC Kitpack

NPC Tweak

Oversight

P&P Celestials

Romantic Encounters

JPS Portrait

Amber

Kivan and Deheriana

Mur'Neth

From Pocket Plane:

Druidic Sorcerer

Harper Scout

Warrior Kitpack

Wolf Lord

Sword and Fist

Lion Warrior

Elementalist

Alora

Ariena

Azure

Bruce the Cockney Barfighter

Fade

Kindrek

Ninafer

Saerileth

Sheena

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Since you're installing Tweakpack, there's no need to also install EoU. There's likely a particular order that they should be installed, generally it's:

BG

Patch

Non-WeiDu mods (e.g. script-overwriting mods) like Ascension

Fixpack

Item/Store mods

NPC/Kit mods

Quest mods

Banter mods

Tactics mods (unless they specifically state they require tweakpack)

Tweakpack

Hi!

You're missing some essential mods like:

Xan NPC

Auren NPC

Tower of Deception (Quest add-on)

Dungeon Crawl (Quest add-on)

IEP Banters

Rogue Rebalancing

Crossmod

iiitems

SCSII

BTW Kulyok did this: on PPG

I'd cut down on NPCs and only use four and those would be:

Xan

Auren

Kivan

Amber

You can use others, but try those and after that uninstall them and try someone else.

I suggest (with apologies if this has already been mentioned) that you compare your list and install order with that of the BiG World installation instructions, conveniently located over at SHS (in a nicely-done .pdf). That's what I've been using, and I find it very helpful in avoiding redundant and/or conflicting mod components. The list isn't comprehensive; I've noticed that I have several mods (mostly NPCs) that aren't included, but viewing the install instructions with some thought has helped me to find the best locations in the order to add the "unlisted" mods I have.

Happy gaming,

Eric
