CamDawg
hows the coding coming along Probably more info than you wanted... Banters - Done. Quests - The three minor encounters are done; the large quest is only at an outline atm. Interjections - Probably around 60% done. Love talks - Around 50%. Misc (creatures, items, spells, kits) - Done Audio (Voicing, music) - Not started. Quote Link to comment

Bri
July 11, 2004 Change in plans. First to answer Kain. For the moment, we are good for playtesters. Such questions actually are better addressed in the main thread. As of this moment, the music isn't set in stone though there are a few pieces in mind. There is no voicing as such, but we do plan on a full soundset, and hopefully full voicing in the end. As for music and voicing as a separate download, I don't think we considered that. Now, onto something else. The PC class lovetalks are being cut entirely. There is more than enough content in Delainy we don't have to include them Also by doing this, that means there really is only one lovetalk for me to write. I apologize, but on the other hand, often there is something cut from modules. (and please note, writing doesn't mean coding) Edited July 12, 2004 by Bri Quote Link to comment
Pekka
No need to apologize, I'm sure you know what you are doing! *hmm, this reminds me of Sledge Hammer; "Trust me, I know what I'm doing!"* Of course you have to edit something and not everything can be included in a mod - I guess it's the same as with books and movies; sometimes you just *have to* leave something out. Hmm, I hope that made some sense, I'm tired...zzzz Quote Link to comment
Mongoose87
Will it be possible to aqurie said PC class lovetalks in a delted scenes style text file? Quote Link to comment
CamDawg
Will it be possible to aqurie said PC class lovetalks in a delted scenes style text file? The point of dropping them is because Bri is not going to write them. If she's going to write them for a deleted scenes file, then I would just go ahead and code them into the mod. Lord Ernie
I've been reading this place for quite some time now (though I only took the trouble of registering just now), and would just like to say that this mod looks promising, at least. There haven't been too many new romance mods released in quite some time now, and it's good to see a new one coming along, especially one that looks this interesting. Keep it up . Bri
No the reason with the class lovetalks being cut was my decision to speed up the final bits of writing, and not really anything to do with coding. And silly me, I thought July would be more conducive to giving me time to wrap up. As it is now, almost everything else talked about will definitely be in the module. I am not kidding when I say Delainy has a lot of material. Any of the playtesters can attest to that. Camdawg has been more than gracious to code it into the module as it is. Quote Link to comment
kain
maye they could be included in a second version Quote Link to comment
Lord Ernie
As it is now, almost everything else talked about will definitely be in the module. So the race-specific dialogues are still in there? I ask this because these type of dialogues (race/class - specific) really add to the realism of the romance. Quote Link to comment
Lord Ernie
A pity, though if the amount of material is as vast as you say, it's an understandable decision. Enjoy your time off, I'm sure it's well deserved. Quote Link to comment
Bri
Indeed, there is a lot. In one post, Cam did show state there was over 53,000 words. A small novel, for example, frequently can have 90,000 words. Quote Link to comment
Smoketest
As of this moment, the music isn't set in stone though there are a few pieces in mind. There is no voicing as such, but we do plan on a full soundset, and hopefully full voicing in the end. As for music and voicing as a separate download, I don't think we considered that. I'm in no hurry for a big download, which a full speech pack would likely be. Since the mod is likely to be released before speech is recorded, I think it'd be best to provide the speech as a seperate download, especially since, if it's done well, the speech rarely has to be changed, while the mod itself might go through a patch or two after release. It also eases the burden on us 56k folks, and those players who might prefer to play female PCs and don't care about the romance portion. Still, I'd rather download a large file for Delainy than I would for... certain other NPCs. Only 53,000 words eh? Heh, I'm spoiled on full-sized novels. Still, if I want copious reading in a computer game, I'll play PS:T. I'm sure Delainy will have plenty to say. It'd be nice to have someone in the party who could out-talk Jaheira, the NPC with the largest number of dialogs in the entire game. Quote Link to comment
