Imoen talking nonstop

Hi,

 

I just installed EasyTutu and BG1 NPC.

 

On the same map where Gorion gets killed by Sarevok a dialogue keeps getting initiated between the PC and Imoen.

 

The options are all to find out about Imoen's past.

 

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be helpful.

EDIT: Or Berelinde should be able to give you less generic advice.

 

I seem to recall this bug coming up some time ago, but I can't find the solution anywhere to hand.

 

What I recall is happening is that a variable which shuts off the dialogue isn't being set. If you have one of the editing/viewing tools available, you can see what that variable is, then set it with the following command:

 

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("YYY","GLOBAL",X)

 

Note that YYY stands for the global variable name and X stands for the number that shuts it off in the script (probably 1).

 

 

As to how to activate the console:

 

Activating the Console (BG2 / BG2:ToB)

 

Enable

 

Open the Baldur.ini file (located in the BG2 installaion directory).

Find the line [Program Options] and add the text Debug Mode=1 underneath.

 

Access

 

Create a new game / load a save game.

Press ctrl and space together.

CLUA commands can be entered in the editing area that appears at the bottom of the screen.

Second, is this banter about burying Gorion, or about the possibility that the PC might reform the party in a way that doesn't include her? Or is about Beregost? Or about Tarnesh's spellbook? Or is it about finding a diamond in a tree? If it's about her past, well, it probably isn't BG1 NPC, because there aren't any banters about Imoen's past, exactly.

I have encountered this bugg too. It occurs when the player picks up the note from Gorian's body. It's the usual dialog you get when force talking to Imoen.

As I mentioned in your other post re: Viconia, don't install this:

Since both Imoen and Viconia are NPCs that occur in both BG1 and BG2, and this component was intended for BG2, I have no doubt it would bug a Tutu install rather severely.

Unable to replicate on either Tutu or BGT - Imoen globals set and resposes work on all pathways. No action taken.

 

 

tiny spoiler, but its what i did to shut her mouth

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

try getting the note off gorions body, it got me through some dialogs; also select the protagonist and move him/her to the note, and then move imoen away, so she cant talk to you, sorta like running from noober

maybe add a path where she asks "Where's Gorion?" prompting the player to get to his body, and asking about the letter she saw (that she mentioned in CK)
