IWD2: broken game

Gorlash

Recommended Posts

Okay, the mods I have installed are:

- game patched to V2.01

- ease of use V1.5

- merchants V4

- ComStore V2.1

- iwd2 tweaks V1

Somehow, among all of these, item IDs have gotten broken in the game. I've repeatedly found that the items I find are not what I should find in given locations. That's been fine until I got to the crash site (with Oswald). However, neither the second diamond, nor the thrym extract, are present on the ship. Furthermore, when I try to CreateItem() to get the items, the codes in the cheat file give unexpected items.

00POTN50 gave scroll of Improved Invisibility

00GEM26 gave an Arrow of Stunning.

So how did this get so messed up?? And is there any way I can find out what the actual codes are for the required items, so I can proceed with the game??

Hokay, I get it... the "Randomized Treasure" option in ease-of-use mod, nukes *all* objects in the game, including required game objects. Gosh, what a useful option!

Once I uninstalled that option, then restored back to Targos before signing up with Oswald, then everything was where it should be on the ship...

...

... of course, that also completely nuked all the inventories of all my characters!! Good thing I put so much effort into choosing their equipment so far in the game... I gotta admit - having +1 Greatsword as armour for my Rogue, is *almost* as useful as having a lute as a ring for my main fighter.

Oh well, at least I can continue with the game now (once I spend an hour or so re-equiping all my characters).
