His comrades remain blue and refer to their leader if talking to them. I can't talk to Karris ("has nothing to say"). What excactly is supposed to happen? I have talked to Belgin, but not met Tiax yet. Link to comment

This time there was a slight delay before Karris turned hostile. After going through the "we will talk later" routine three times, he finally acted as he should and the rest of the quest worked fine. Tiax leaving after we refused to kill Belgin was a perfect end to the quest. Link to comment

cmorgan Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 OK, unless there is a vanilla/SCS-ed script that we left behind on Karris, this one has got to be a global loophole somewhere - I will set it up for testing and see what I can find (Your order was meet beldin (without Tiax) - the quest should only start if Tiax is in the party, but Karris should NOT be hostile. And his friends should back him up if he does become hostile. I will check his scripting). Link to comment
cmorgan Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I haven't been able to find out why Karris went hostile on you right away, but am currently revising his script to make sure it is cleaner. The same for the other bounty hunters - they need to attack if attacked, and go hostile if you attack karris. They should delay the start of the quest until Tiax is in the party, so I am going back through to find out why you had to go through the three "ok, bring me a gnome" talks before getting the darned thing started). To do that, the simplest way is to open it up in NearInfinity, and copy and paste the decompiled list if IF something THEN RESPONSE #100 something END statements that appear in that window.
