X-files nostalgia

Summer thunderstorm in the evening, a few days of vacation left ... what better time to watch old x-files. Aaaah.

Too late. What's wrong with it? I need a good reason to convince someone not to go see it.

Just... too mundane. No feeling of shadowy huge conspiracy Out There.

Also no sign of Doggett and Reyes.

Yeah the X Files movie was blah. Stick with the conspiracy type ideas Chris Carter, that is what made the X-Files awesome.

 

I have all of the episodes that deal with the conspiracy and aliens.

I have all nine seasons on DVD. Got them dirt cheap internationally (yes, it's legal AFAICT and even in English for the most part ). Too bad about the second movie. I got cheesed off when they started developing the whole love interest between S&M. The whole fact that there wasn't initially, or if there was, it was something vague lurking under the surface, like the X-Files themselves, is what made it interesting. Like in the first movie, where they almost kiss and Scully gets stung by a mutant bee, that was pretty cool.

I will eventually get them on DVD, I only have the second season so far.

I think I mostly dropped out of watching the series early in season 3 or so - compulsory military service tends to screw up habits like that. So there are oodles of episodes I've never watched.
