Even if the said NPC is not in the party anymore. Are your PC's charisma and intelligence both 12 or higher? Did you chance your PC's charisma or intelligence after you installed Amber? Aerie's RomanceActive,Global is 1. And I'm at the beginning of the game, PC and Aerie have conversation only 3 times. PC's intelligence is 11, charisma is 17. (!?) I didn't change anything after I installed Amber. My PC is male. Link to comment

Both intelligence and charisma must be 12 or higher when you load a game with Amber installed for the first time. The good news is that Amber has a friendship path that has no stat requirements.
