I reckon Terry Pratchett was one of the entire six billion membered human race I'd least give Alzheimer's. I'm a big fan of his work.

No way to go is good - but this particular fate has a tragic irony considering his comic/creative/storytelling genius.

It's a horrible tragedy. I can only hope that medicine such as Aricept will be helpful enough to at least make the disease evolve slower. I hate the fact that a man as talented and as brilliant as Terry is can do nothing against such a devastating diseases. It's just unfair.

It's a beautiful and elegant piece of writing from a man who sadly may not have long left to exercise his skill. Let us all hope that the bulwark of his treatment can be strong enuogh to hold and give the man many long, happy years yet.
