Planescape: Torment Widescreen Mod problem

One of the steps in installing the wide screen mod is to change the CD2 directory from the disc to a folder with the disc's content on a hard drive. Upon starting a game, I am asked to insert disc 2 into drive c:. Since drive c: is the drive where I have the copy of CD2, and not a CD drive, I cannot comply. Changing the planescape.ini to point to the cd drive doesn't help either, as it refuses to recognize the disc.

 

What did I screw up?

No real clue, sorry. Try re-installing the whole game and follow more carefully the full install guide.
