I followed the same steps provided in the link : install game , make a folder "C:\ptdisk\" , copy the content of CD 2 in that folder and change the .ini file accordingly. The game didn't ask for the cd anymore after I did this. Link to comment

The 2 CD or 1 DVD takes more than half of that. As you need to have all CDs on your hard drive to have full install.
