Guest guest
This is some real awkward behavious the AI dislays, they almost always follow my characters that are in any kind of invisibility. The latest display of this was running from ust natha when i wanted to be discrete after the disguise wore off, so i used an invis potion, sanctuary, invis spell, 2 misleads, ring of air control (the improved invis one) for my party and they were all being followed, this was especially tiresome because when that many enemies converge on you in the fairly narrow paths of ust natha you get completely blocked. Another related thing is that when i was scouting with an invisible person in the kua-toa caverns, I ended up quite far from the rest of the party (they were at the entrance, scout was at the prince's/uncorrupted tadpole room), but when the enemies 'saw' me, or rather i saw them on my screen, they decided to go halfway across the map to the rest of the party because of course kua-toans can see through invis so effectively my scout was useless and i'm guessing some script told them to attack some weak party member, despite the range from the scene of the action. This could be a one-off i guess, but the first issue is the main one, and i notice in the readme you do state that you've fixed this, so it must have been a problem in earlier versions (i didn't encounter this much in those i have to say - since v6 ive used this mod, but with v8 it's like everyone follows the invis people, not just here and there). DavidW
OK, that's interesting. The Kuo-toa behaviour is known (and not really optimal) but the first issue shouldn't really be happening. Do you mean they follow you and just kinda crowd around you? And is it really "everyone" - that is, is the drow case an isolated example (in which case it might be something suboptimal in their scripting) or is it much more general. Link to comment

It is more general than that, the drow thing stuck out most because all my party were invisible and all were trying to get from one end of the city to the other, hence a lot of 'attention' was drawn (most, not all - It's never really all, else my scout in all other situations would have a retinue of enemies by the time he skirted the map and got back to my party in other areas of the game too - enemies on screen followed me, some out of the city itself! Then continued to do so as i walked around). Normally there would be one character that is invis and hence the effect is not so profound and striking as with ust natha. As far as the drow things, i may even have a save at the appropriate part and so i can show you some screenshots maybe, i'll see about that and if i can, but meanwhile here's hoping you still believe me. I do NOT have the drow component of SCSII installed, incidentally. I also had some strange happenings with the elves fighting the drow in the temple just saying their lines and leaving me to fight all the drow, i did post this in the fixpack forums, but do you think it might be an AI issue? Quite possibly (more likely than Fixpack). I'll see if I can reproduce it when I get a chance. Link to comment
