Ergopad
I have always wanted to have wizard with a pointy wizard's hat in Baldur's Gate. Is it possible to add new helmet animation? Ex. if I create new baf animations by copying the hat from Elminster's animation? A bit like ioun stone, but with new animation. I guess paper dolls will require new graphics too, but that's shouldn't be so hard... Link to comment
Icendoan
You know, cross posting is frowned upon, at least, if you don't mention it. Icen Link to comment
Ergopad
Heh, just want to have my comment/suggestion heard. Possible? Link to comment
Icendoan
Probably. I'm not the guy you need to talk to, though. Icen Link to comment
Andrea C.
Try asking Erephine on the Spellhold Studios forums. She deals in this kind of stuff and she's especially good at it, too. Link to comment
Icendoan
Ergopad cross posted this over at SHS as well, since he didn't mention it. It may be other places as well, I am not sure. Icen Link to comment
Gabrielle
Creating new animations is not an easy thing to do, if at all. Could be a hardcoded thing if I remember. Link to comment
Ergopad
BAM (animation) files can be altered, as 1PP has changed the helmet animations. But otherwise, is it possible to add new animation into game? Link to comment

Ergopad
Yeah, that what I was thinking. Making the BAM anims is a huge work, but if I do wizard's hat mage only, then it shouldn't be that bad, though I think the frame count will be huge still. What I do like to know, is what I must do besides make the new BAMS. Where do I add the new helmet animation so that new items can use it? Any information about colors? Etc. Link to comment
