berelinde Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Due to a typo, LT 7 is scripted to fire twice and LT 8 not at all. I've got a fix for it, and I'm attaching it below. To use this fix, go to your FP_v1\Shared\Casavir-Bishop folder and delete br_lt008.dg. In FP_v1\BishopRomance\dlg, delete 21_cs_zhjaeve_in.dlg, and in FP_v1\CasavirRomance\dlg, delete cr_lt0008.dlg. Download the archive below and extract it in FP_v1\Shared\Casavir-Bishop. I apologize for the inconvenience. Edit: because of forum migration, the attachment got lost. You can get the fix here CasRomLT8Fix.rar
Guest HeavenlyMuse Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I can't get this to work... I followed the directions exactly and no joy.
berelinde Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Unfortunately, this might mean that you will not get that talk, if you were using a saved game after you entered the area where the triggers for the talk were set. Global conversations, like the PID dialogues, are accessed every time you talk to the companion, but area conversations load when the area loads for the first time. Suppose I've added a trigger to Sgt. Brockenburn's dialogue. He's in Blacklake. The first time I enter Blacklake, Sgt. Brockenburn's dialogue loads. Now I save the game, make a few more changes to Sgt. Brockenburn's dialogue, and load up my save so I can test them out... except that I won't be able to test them using that save, since Sgt. Brockenburn's dialogue is already loaded and saved, so I'm SOL. Found that out the hard way during private alpha-testing. If you like, I can code up a special copy of gl_casavir.dlg that will let you get that talk, but you'd have to swap it out again if you decided to replay the game, or you'd get LT8 the fist time you talked to Casavir, which wouldn't make much sense.
Guest HeavenlyMuse Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 As long as this particular talk isn't going to "ruin" my chances with Casavir or mess up the rest of the talks in the game I don't mind skipping it.
berelinde Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Nope, you'll get the rest of your talks. There's one PID option you won't get this play-through, but it isn't all that impressive. Basically, you'd just get the chance to ask him what he thinks of your companions, bully him into giving you a backrub, and make a lewd suggestion that he won't much appreciate. When I get home from work, I'll check to see if that's a global variable or a local one. If it's a global variable, you can enter the global manually in your saved game and still get the opportunity to harass him through PID, but if it's a local variable, I'd have to code up that file.
Guest LongLostApples Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Hi there, great mod. I've got to ask though, is there a way of seeing what number LT is happening? I haven't been keeping count, so can't really tell you if this fix has worked or not - unless I'm missing something?? Thanks in advance, and this really is a great mod!
berelinde Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 You could cross-reference this list.

berelinde Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 To avoid confusion for folks who are able to use the fix posted above, would you mind sending an email to my screen name at gmail dot com? That way, I can email the file to you without having duplicate files posted all over the place.
krissycokl Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Uhm, not to be naggy, but it appears that--perhaps since the forum downtime--this file has been misplaced. When I attempt to download it, I get the error: Sorry, some required files are missing, if you intended to view a topic, it's possible that it's been moved or deleted. Please go back and try again. I don't know much about forums &tc. but is it possible the file was lost during the server switch? Either way, I've been scouring the net and I can't seem to find a copy of this fix anywhere else, so I'd greatly appreciate a reupload. Thanks for your time.
berelinde Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Check the pinned thread in this forum. I uploaded the fix to my own server and linked it there. Oops, this is the thread where I posted it, but somehow my post got lost. Download the fix here.
berelinde Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Don't use this anymore. Install Version 3 instead.
