[Possible bug] Wrong travelling link after install FIX_PACK

After installing the fixpack and creating a new character I experience the following problem.

I travel with Gorion to the next area. Gorion bites the dust.

Imoen comes to say hi. I walk to the south.

I get a pop-up of the global map, but instead of being just to the right of candlekeep, I am at waukeen's promenade.

Clicking Waukeen's promenade (the only clickable option) crashes the game.

Same goes for trying to travel east/west/north.

 

I have installed BGT and WS,see my weidu log:

My used operating system: Windows XP Pro x64.

 

 

This also happened with v7 of the fixpack.

I can circumvent this by creating a character before installing the pack, and loading its save after installing the pack.

Yes, the reason why you have this error is that the BG2 Fixpack needs to be installed first before the BGT. There is a note in here just for that circumstance:

- BG2Fixpack v1 or above (install before BGT-WeiDU - installing after BGT-WeiDU causes you to get the SoA world map)

 

Put the BG2Fixpack first, then BGT, and then the Widescreen mod.

Ah drat, I've been looking in the wrong place for a solution then, I never thought of installing anything before BGT.
