Compatibility of Tweaks and Tutu/BGT questions

Hi!

Currently I have installed BG1+ToSC and BG2+ToB (as well as IWD1+2), with the latest official patch and the fixpacks and tweak packs.

Now I would like to install one of the engines that allows to play BG1 with the BG2 engine, which means I'll install either Tutu or BGT.

Now, firstly I'm unsure whether to choose Tutu or BGT. Any recomendations?

Secondly, I'm not sure about how to proceed? Can I just install Tutu or BGT? Or should I uninstall the fixpacks and tweakpacks for BG 1 and/or 2 first, then install Tutu or BGT and then reinstall the BG 1 and/or 2 fixpacks and tweakpacks?

Especially, the BG2 tweaks says it's compatible with Tutu/BGT. What about the BG1 Tweaks - should they be installed at all after Tutu/BGT is installed?

Thirdly if I'd install EasyTutu with the space-saving option, will that be ok with the fix-/tweakpacks?

I'd be glad if I could get a little advice there.

Well, the BGT will give you BG1 and BG2 as one game, while BGTutu and the space saving option of EasyTutu will give you only BG1(+TotSC if you have it), within the BG2 game folder and so you can't play BG2 while they are active, and to deactivate it, it needs to be uninstalled. While the standard option of the EasyTutu will make a totally separate game directory of the BG1 part. So In all the options, you then can uninstall the BG1 game. And the standard option also let's you to uninstall BG2 if you just wish to play the BG1 part.

Now for BG1Tutu and EasyTutu, the BG1(&TotSC) needs to be totally mod free custom installs with all boxes checked, and patched to v(1.3.)5512, while the BG2 can be either BG2:SoA patched to v23037, or BG2:ToB patched to v(2.5.)26498.

The BGT needs the BG1, BG1:TotSC +the patch, BG2:SoA and BG2:ToB patched to v(2.5.)26498, and if you are going to use the BG2Fixpack, the BG2Fixpack needs to be installed before the BGT, or you'll have errors.

Now, which should you choose, is up to you! And if you have all the required parts... I won't recommend either as better as they are both very good at what they do, but they both have their downsides too.

...but in all cases, the tweakpacks need to be removed, if you wish the tweaks will also change the BGT/BG1Tutu/EasyTutu items, characters, spells etc.

So that's generally, install the engine converter(BGT/BG1Tutu/EasyTutu...) first before the other mods(except the BG2Fixpack for BGT).

More advice on BG1Tutu and EasyTutu usage... and BGT usage, with other mods and Megamods.

Well, I have removed the Tweakpacks and installed space-saving EasyTutu.

Then I have reinstalled the Gibberlings3-Tweakpack.

Now, Tutu does run, but the most important Tweak to me does not affect Tutu:

BG1 Weapon group proficiencies with BG2 combat style proficiencies.

Now, I really dislike the single weapon proficiencies from BG2 and much prefer the group proficincies from BG1. I certainly don't want the BG2 single profs in BG1 (while I like everything else in BG2 very much).

How can I make this mod being used by Tutu? Prefereably without reinstalling everything?

Uh, just forget it. By now I noticed that I have to install the same Tweakpack twice, once for Tutu and once for ToB. Nevermind.
