Killed Sarevok but Nothing happens

SoS!

I successfully Killed Sarevok after all 4 his acolytes, but Nothing happens. Sarevok is dead, but journal not updated, can't leave church...

I have the SCS component improved final battle - Tutu based.

Hmm, I read this is a ver.12 issue with SCS.

Will uninstalling "enhanced final battle" component help in finishing the game?

Same issue, so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Latest version of SCS installed w/ final battle. A third person notes the problem here.

Yes, sorry about this. I haven't had a chance to diagnose it yet.

Practically speaking it only matters if you want to see the end movie.

I know. Just annoying when you haven't played the game for a while. It also didn't create a final save.

After looking further it looks like it may be related to the any of the following:

- Dynaheir romance - I was actively romancing her (this seems a recurring problem in a number of complaints) which probably means that this should be crossposted at BG1NPC project too...

- Uninstalling 'Hard Times'

- One of the Undead Warriors escaping outside

If you need a save or any other information that can help I'll provide it as needed.

That's odd... I thought the final save was created at the start of the fight. In practice, if you quicksave before the entry and import from that, it's equivalent. That's not an excuse, though - it ought to work.

That sounds very plausible - Dynaheir messes with the endgame. That's helpful, thanks.

- One of the Undead Warriors escaping outside

I don't think either of these could do it.

I'm not going to have a chance to look at this for a bit, but anticipating that, you could do this: find the file "_ar0125.bcs" in your override directory, and post it. (You'll probably need to turn it into a zip file first, or the software will whine.)

I don't know if that is Tutu specific, but from what I recall from last time I played through BG1 (long time ago) it saved after the Sarevok's death movie. I.e. you killed him, movie -> save. If that save actually represented the state before entering combat I have no idea about, but that is from memory.

How do I post a file here? (The Help section did not cover this :/)

Just to recap what I put in another thread somewhere, I had this problem too. I have just reinstalled so do not have my old weidu log but my install order was:

Degreen

Tutufix

Tutusounds

Hard Times

Unfinished Business

BG2 Tweaks

SCS (v12)

BG1 GUI

Widescreen

I killed all of Sarevok's pals without a doubt, the game just does not finish. No final save was created. I ended up exporting my PC character file from my "final save" after beating Sarevok, at least that way I got the extra XP.

OK, I tentatively think I understand this. It isn't to do with Dynaheir, it's to do with a subtle difference between TUTUv4 and EasyTUTU which I'd misunderstood. (SCS was written on original TUTU and I still get caught out occasionally by something Macready has changed.)

Try this, after Sarevok dies:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DeathOfSarevok","GLOBAL",1)

Let me know what happens.

Worked perfectly :) . Triggered the creation of the final save, Sarevok essence movie and Dynaheir ending.

Brilliant, mystery solved. Thanks for your help, and this'll be fixed in v13.

David I am running the latest SCS v13 and have ran into this problem: I killed Sarevok's 4 acolytes, then I killed Sarevok and nothing happened. I checked the global DeathOfSarevok and it is equal to -1.

Sorry, "v13" was a placeholder for "the next actual-update version". v13 was a pure translation update. Until I get v14 out (and it's the middle of the University term here, so don't hold your breath) the same advice as above applies: apologies, and set the global to 1.
