Echon
It seems to me Free Action has no use. It did not protect against any of these opcodes: Entangle Overlay (154), Grease Overlay (158), Haste (16), Hold Creature (109), Hold Creature 2 (185), Hold Creature Type (175), Movementrate bonus (126), Pause Caster (165), Petrification (134), Slow (40), Stun (45), Web Effect Overlay (157). Web Effect Overlay is not only an overlay like Entangle and Grease, it also holds the target. -Echon Link to comment
Echon
So it turns out that Free Action does have a use after all. It removes the Movementrate Bonus (126) effect. It should also be noted that Movementrate Bonus only has one mode: Set. Increase/Decrease or Set % of do not work. EDIT: Free Action is an instantaneous effect, duration is irrelevant. -Echon Link to comment

Echon
I figured it would be better to do the research now while I am still working on the mod rather than after having completed it. -Echon Link to comment

Strange, I'm using a set of boots that use Effect (126) in percentage mode very sucessfully, a setting of 200%, give double movement. I recentily upgraded them to effect (146)? to prevent free action conflicting, it really very funny watching a fuzzy blob zipping around the battle, halfing thief double movement blur, mirror image and improved invisable .
