Question about weapon selection

Recommended Posts

When I create a multi-class NPC with a kit I don't get to choose all weapons, only those for the kit. Say, I make Coran a Fighter/Swashbuckler I only get thief-weapons and not his fine Longbow. When Montaron is a Fighter/Assassin he has a limited selection as well.

When I have DivineRemixV5 and SongAndSilenceV4 installed and the component "Weapon Styles for All" from the G3BG2TweakPackV7 I cannot allocate the maximum number of points for the mod-installed kits, for Tiax the Strifeleader of Cyric or for Alora the Adventurer (for example).

So now my question is: is this intentional?

I made a fresh Tutu install with the latest version(s) from the download page.

Ugh. You're right. Doesn't look like the weapon proficiency code considers the non-standard kitted multiclass case, you only get the possibilities of the kit.

It does work as expected in-game, I assume, when you assign the leftover points?

I'll need a bit of time to unravel the code, but the bug is there. Noted on the todo list.

As for the divine remix / song and silence / tweak pack combo trouble - weidu.log please, so I can reproduce it semi-easily. It can easily be an install order or tweak pack component bug as well.

In the game they get the appropriate choices.

Thanks.

Well, I didn't intend to ask this here in the first place, but when I began with the first question I got carried away. A look at weapprof.2da reveals that no mod-installed kit gets the bonus from the TweakPack so your mod treated them right. Sorry for asking :) Seems I should search/ask in the TweakPack forum.

For what it's worth the WeiDU.log:

Looks good. Do report it at the tweakpack forum.

Yeah, will make a search wether it has already been reported or is even intended. And then .. wait and see

(Hm, Tactics has kits? Uh-oh. I'd better take a look, just in case :) )

Unlike some other components of tactics I haven't had any noticable trouble with those kits.

Any chance of nailing this one for the next version, or is it kinda "unfixable"?

I didn't see anything else that hasn't been accounted for one way or another, but then I skimmed through the posts here pretty quickly, and maybe there's some old bugs buried here we haven't squashed yet...

Quite fixable, but no promises that I can find time soon.

There's a current issues list buried... here: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?s...st&p=146228

Hmm. The actual limits applied by the game on the level-up screen seems to always be the base multiclass.

So thief/berserkers can specialize in ranged weapons, and cleric/swashbucklers cannot really specialize in clubs. Sigh.
