Jordoo
I was planning on doing a completely fresh install tonight, but BGII won't uninstall. So like a dummy I dumped the whole BlackIsland folder in my recycle bin and emptied it. Now I have no BGII on my computer but its in the directories and so when I put disk 1 in instead of giving me the install option it gives me the play option. Is there anyway to remove it from my computer directories so I can reinstall? Any help would be apreciated very much. Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Miloch
See if you can uninstall it from the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs or from the Start menu wherever you put it (possibly Games/Black Isle or whatever). Since it won't find it, it might remove the registry keys. If not, you might have to hack them out manually with regedit. Vista probably doesn't even let you do that. Link to comment

Thanks, already tried it in Add/Remove Programs with no luck. I don't have vista, so where do I try the "regedit" ? Link to comment
Jordoo
I found the regedit under the start/run menu. I searched it for baldur, black Isle and Bioware and removed everything it found but there is still something telling that Disk that its on the computer. Any Ideas as to what else to search for in regedit? Link to comment

Jordoo
Thank you Mike! I had removed all of that except the BG2Main.exe file and getting rid of it did the trick. Link to comment
