RedSocialKnight
AVG detected a trojan in my download of Ascension. I know it's not yours, but I'm pretty sure I got to it from a link on this website. But ... I would still like to see the content! Can anyone suggest a guide to a safer source? Link to comment
Grim Squeaker
I find it extremely unlikely there is actually a trojan in it. It's quite well reported that some anti-virus programs get a false positive from WeiDU (the program that safely installs the new content). Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
AVG detected a trojan in my download of Ascension. ... Can anyone suggest a guide to a safer source? Which version of the Ascension, the last WeiDUed Ascension doesn't have a virus, the AVG probably needs an update, as the WeiDU.exe within has been reported to not be a virus. Disable the AVG, open the self-extracting-archive with WinRAR, extract the other files except the Setup-Ascension.exe, then download the last WeiDU archive from here, extract the WeiDU.exe to your game folder, and rename it as Setup-Ascension.exe, and then run it, it will be safe.
