Guest fodder
Hi, I just got BG2 (I'm on a budget...) and I've noticed that there are potentially helpful hints displayed on the save screen while the save occurs. The problem is that the save happens so quickly that I can't read them. Since this info is provided by the game itself, not via a walkthrough(spoilers, etc.), I think it would be good stuff to know and would like to read them. Q: is there a text (readable) resource file or something in the installation where I could read them all or is has someone put a compendium of the messages online somewhere? Link to comment
Ardanis
Those hints can be read later in the game's text box. I wish NWN/NWN2 allowed for the same... To get all of them do the following 1) Make a txt file in your game directory, copy the code inside and save as setup-mymod.tp2 2) Download the latest version of WeiDU from www.weidu.org, put weidu.exe into your game directory 3) Rename weidu.exe to setup-mymod.exe and run Mymod - you can use any other name, if you please. BACKUP ~Loadhints~ AUTHOR ~G3~ BEGIN ~Loadhints~ INSTALL_BY_DEFAULT NO_LOG_RECORD COPY_EXISTING - ~loadhint.2da~ ~override~ counter=0 COUNT_2DA_ROWS 2 row FOR (i=1;i<row;i+=1) BEGIN READ_2DA_ENTRY i 1 2 ~string~ GET_STRREF string text SPRINT $text("%counter%") ~%text%~ counter+=1 END <<<<<<<<text.txt /*REPLACE*/ >>>>>>>> COPY ~text.txt~ ~loading hints.txt~ PHP_EACH text AS ind => res BEGIN REPLACE_TEXTUALLY EXACT_MATCH ~/*REPLACE*/~ ~/*REPLACE*/ %res%~ END REPLACE_TEXTUALLY EXACT_MATCH ~/*REPLACE*/~ ~~ Link to comment
