I'm no expert, but I think all the romance variables are stored in the save game. So as long as the mod is actice while playing you should be OK.

yep - savegames hold the information. That means you do not need to reinstall to restart the romances - just play a new game.

Actually, I reinstalled it and it fixed all of the issues I was having. No dialogue at all was triggering, and now it's triggering all well and dandy.
