Guest inquisitor
Hiya I think this is the right place for this... I'm currently working on a Temple of Shar tile set for a for a mod I'm developing. I've found an interesting symbol in the Twisted Rune area (AR1008); it depicts a hooded figure with five stars forming a semi-circle above the head, on the floor where you teleport in. It fits quite nicely into what's already been made but before I add it into the area it crossed my mind to check that I'm not about to make a bunch of Sharrans start promoting an enemy organisation or something. Could someone with better knowledge about the symbols of the Forgotten Realms please enlighten me to its meaning? Thanks in advance Link to comment
berelinde
I looked through all of Faiths an Pantheons and could find no symbol like you describe. The closest were Mystra, seven blue-white stars in a circle with a red mist flowing from the center, and Selune, six stars around a pair of female eyes. Baravar Cloakshadow, gnomish god of thieves, uses a cloak with some kind of sword-like thing emblazoned on the back. The symbol might be used by some kind of Order or other professional association, though. If anybody asks, the residents of your Sharran temple could say "I don't know. It was here when we moved in."
