Thievery?

No, it looks like you don't gieve credit where credit is due, man (this is adresessed to Wisp).

Three facts:

(1-) temujin is troll and bad mouths Sekrit in the linked topic as always, temujin absolutely unreliable

(2-) the first MOD using script-based inteligent Item Randomizing is Sekrit's

(3-) your 'Item Randomizer', Wisp, was made bcz Sekrit didn't want to make optional component from his randomizer

Sekrit refused making optional component so you took the idea from there and made your own mod. Not mentioning him is thievery basicly. Give fair credit where credit is due. Period.

Which is exactly what temujin was pointing out - Sekrit didn't do it first. No credit is necessary because it isn't true. temujin may be a troll, but he does his research. And as the bigg said,

IR is coded in SCS-style SSL, so it's pretty obvious that Wisp can't have copied code from IA even if he wanted to.

Check it out

Personally, I think it's ridiculous that people keep attacking Item Randomiser as "thievery." The people that think it is won't be convinced anyway, no matter the evidence.

Please, be more specific in your pretences.

For what game the MOD in question has been designed for? And which version?

What exactly do you mean by using the term 'MOD'?

What does 'script-based' stand for? In case you are not aware, the executable is also script-based, which in turn means that anything processed by it automatically becomes 'script-based'. And if you mean the in-game scripting language, then are you referring to DLG or BCS files?

Once you've done that, please elaborate on why Sikret is not obliged to credit Ascension and Tactics MODs for improving the difficulty of various combat encounters within the Baldur's Gate 2 Throne of Bhaal game by utilizing intelligently written BCS files.

I find it amusing how the pretence grows from stealing the idea of 'randomisation', then 'randomisation by scripts', then 'mod randomisation by scripts'. Perhaps you should hire a lawyer and issue a lawsuit, so that we can settle the matter in court, instead of trading insults?

I like how you quietly dropped the entire "Sikret invented the idea of randoming items via scripts" jargon and moved on to this new argument -- "Sikret refused to make item randomizing an optional component, therefore whoever makes item randomizing in the future is an automatic thief?" jest.gif

What about the fact that Sikret himself stole the idea of item randomizing via scripts from Simding0?

There are several mods that are the "first" to do a number of things. Based on your logic, why doesn't Sikky give credit to them? dunnog.gif Do you agree that this makes Sikret himself a thief? Hell, he doesn't even credit the modding tool WEIDU without which Improved Anvil wouldn't even exist, and yet the swine is MAKING MONEY out of it. Doesn't that make him even more of a disgraceful thief?

You're grasping at straws now, Baro. Give it up.

It's over.

You lost.

I am getting the impression that Sikret and Baronius want to keep the topic of IA open on the G3 forums, since the closure of the last IA topic on the general mod discussion forum was closed on july 22nd, and one day later, this case studies topic is posted by Sikret.

Now I don't know what they think they can gain from it, but let me state this. If players are not incited to pay money and download your mod, why would you start arguments about whoever came up with the idea behind your mod? It won't get you more downloads. It will probably net you with less downloads than expected due to all the arguments (and insults) flying through the air. This will not make your mod (IA) more attractive (than any other mod)!

For mie, looks like wisp took(stole) the idea, now giberling members try outnumbering OP with posts hier. After racist Topic against muslims dont appreciate the giberling site(racists).

Regardless, IA should stayed free.

Let's stop right there.

What idea?

The only thief is Sikret, who stole from, and living off Weimer's hard work. This has been proven time and time again.

P.S. - muslim (i.e. Islam) is not a race, but a religion. Any race can be a muslim.

Try again.

racists
Racist posts were written by guest trolls, not by G3 members.

As for using someone else's idea... Not everyone is modding community deems necessary to credit every single person who've done something useful for the project. In fact, quite often it is the reverse. It would be understandable if Sikret had mentioned in credits everyone who had made an investment in his mod, and then asked for the same act of courtesy. But when a person, who hadn't even mentioned in readme that their mod is WeiDU-based, starts demanding in a rather rude manner to be shown courtesy for something, that not everyone even agrees on, then we have exactly the 'case study'.

The lowlifes who posted those discriminatory messages were not members of this forum. We generally allow people to post whatever opinions they want to share, because it all reflects on them. Spamming garbage is not welcome, however, and you'll find that the offending posts have been removed.
