Japanese, anyone?

Anyone got a hint about where I could find a semi-cheap copy of Japanese BG2? (バルダーズ・ゲート2)

 

amazon.co.jp wants 25 kiloyen + freight, which strikes me as excessive.

If you're OK with japanese text and English voice over, you could build a franken-Japanese install by installing an English copy and then the Japanese patch.

Ouch. That would be seriously weird, but perhaps better than nothing.

 

I'll take a look to see if the fonts are right in a frankeninstall, at least. Good tip.

-chuckles- Japan is indeed rediculously expensive nowadays. It's funny how you pick up a copy of BG2+ToB for 8-10 quid in Europe, but the Japs charge far more as usual.

 

That said, it would be very neat to play a Japanese BG2 with Japanese voiceovers.

Well, it's still on the market, new, in Europe. Not so in Japan AFAICT, thus it's become a collector's item.

 

That said, it would be very neat to play a Japanese BG2 with Japanese voiceovers.

The thought of Imoen and Aerie voiced in Japanese scares me.

No luck. The japanese patch installer won't install on my european version.

Even so. Collector's items are expensive as hell. Japanese collector's items are crazily priced. Trust me, I know. I own Japanese collector's items.

What's not to like? Of all the Bioware cast, imo she's the closest thing to anime char.

 

PS and Aerie makes a perfect yandere too

Heh. My brain will explode, I'm sure, trying to connect the english and japanese voices to the same person.

 

Extremely theoretical as long as it's impossible to find, of course.
