Smarter Mages option 2

For starters, I repeatedly get this error message with ssl.exe:

The application or dll C:\Windows\system32\nutafun4.dll is not a valid windows image...

No idea what this .dll is actually supposed to do, but my antivirus says it's clean. It just gives me this annoying error prompt, which repeatedly interrupts the patching process. I am forced to hold down 'enter' key just to keep things running. :hm:

However, this message seems to pop up every time WeiDU is trying to update itself, so it might be not SCS II-specific.

In addition to the above, I seem to have caught this infinite loop thing. Loop range goes something like this:

dw#raksh

dw#fgmag

dw#fminv

dw#mage

dw#thmag

dw#mvamp

Hope it makes sense to somebody. :undecided:

Also, my Weidu log:

Well, the \nutafun4.dll should be a library file that the computer should have by default... or so I would assume from this.

In addition to the above, I seem to have caught this infinite loop thing. Loop range goes something like this:
It's not probably an endless loop, but a failure on a component ...

The "setup-scsII.DEBUG" file's content would give use the needed info... open the file with Notepad and copy-paste one of the component parts that fail.

Solved it. It appears there is nothing wrong with SCS II.

I put nutafun4.dll into .zip archive, which removed those annoying error prompts. Then I tried to reinstall Smarter Mages again. It worked. Amazing.

Those prompts slowed everything down quite a lot!

And since...

Wizard AI takes quite a time to install, about 10 minutes, and loads repeatedly the same source script files.

...it would take ages to complete the installation.
