Version 16 released

I did. I also heavily modified both of them but I did not remember touching that .bcs. Can you reproduce the error on a clean install?

You mean, does the component fail on a pure SCS-plus-fixpack install? If so, no. (I do do install tests before releasing, believe it or not.)

I believe it. I was asking that to thebigg because atm I'm not particularly interested in that component ( going to play evil ) and reinstalling everything wasn't appealing :)

I commented out the hamm09 bit in the golem component and things work smooth with IR.

Thanks for the quick fix; while you're still in the modding mood I'd humble suggest a component to make both players and enemy wizards/priests gain HLA innates at a lesser rate ( like, 1 HLA every 2 or 3 levels ) in order to avoid every lvl22+ mage to have exactly the same HLA ( aka: all of them ), to allow for more diversity.

I have 3 parse errors while installing #6182 component (Smarter Priests -> Priests never cast short-duration spells instantly at start of combat: v16). It wasn't in v15.

It's probably harmless, but could you post your WEIDU.log so I can check?

I'm having trouble with the new "antimagic penetrates II"-component; namely, that it doesn't work at all, and trying gets me the "cannot target invisible creatures" message. This occurs with every antimagic spell I tried, including at least Pierce Magic, Ruby Ray and Spellstrike. Is there something I'm not getting, or is there something wrong with my installation?

WeiDu is as follows:

In addition to the above, Mirror Image seems to have reverted to blocking AoE spells, and Dispel Magic to not being able to affect any magics cast by a higher level character (based on fifteen or so attempts by a 23rd level mage to dispel a 25th level bard's stoneskin).

That suggests that ToBEx isn't working for you (those are all tasks handled by ToBEx). Anything unusual about your computer setup?

I have the same problem as Mad Mate (parse errors when installing smarter priests). Can anyone confirm that it's okay to play through this? I'm eager to start a new game, but I want to make sure it's not going to crash. Thanks.

I've also been having some stability issues with the new version. It has crashed lots of times, sometimes giving errors sometimes not. Could this have anything to do with Tobex and could the fact that I didn't do a full reinstall of BG2 since the last version be the cause?

I can confirm it's harmless. (Priests won't cast Elemental Summoning, but this won't make much difference.)

I'm not sure. I don't see any obvious reason why a full reinstall would be needed; equally, if you've got a complicated install it's possible something could have been messed up. If you want to check if it's ToBEx, edit scsii/scsii.ini in a text editor, and add the line

Disable_ToBEx 1

Then reinstall SCSII.

Looks like Spell Shield is fixed but it has no animation nor portrait icon ( I commented out the SR bits that were disabling it at lvl 5 ). Duration, casting speed, description and so on are overwritten.

With HLA as innates installed, the multiclass mage/* tables get changed so that they never get access to HLA ( min_lev set at 40 in LUFM0.2DA, LUMT0.2DA and LUCM.2DA )

That indeed turned out to be the case, and tinkering with ToBEx solved the issue. I actually did figure it out on my own before seeing your response, so I apologize about the hassle.

Anything you can share as to what had to be tinkered with? i.e. is this likely to be a problem that lots of people end up having?
