Updated

- Robe of Arcane Might, Potion of Power and Amulet of Power now correctly increase caster level

- Fixed the missing ELEMDAM4.EFF

- Vongoethe the lich no longer wears Larloch's Soul Stealer to prevent unprovoked turning hostile

- Revised Shields component can install independently

Cloak of the Wolf is postponed until I (or Demi) have time to sit it through.

I don't think Keldorn armor is changed by IR. ??? I can't find it in Item Index.

I've been checking latest BG2 Fixpack build and it seems the vanilla armor effect was dispellable :p

From setup-bg2fixpack.tp2 :

1) Keldorn's armor retribution effect doesn't work for me either.

2) I don't gain any exp from undeads when i kill them with Azuredge and Mace of Disruption.

1) Download the spl file attached on this post, put it into your current game override folder and the armor should work. The effect had too short range for some absurd reason.

2) I'll look into it, but if it happens I guess it's the opcode doing it, and IR didn't changed it.

I don't think Keldorn armor is changed by IR. I can't find it in Item Index.
Look under Custom Equipment for NPCs. ;)

You seem to use a combination of Maximum HP Bonus (#18) and Current HP Bonus (#17) to prevent healing on equipping the item. Is there a reason to that instead of using #18 with type 3?

EDIT : Wow that post was quite unclear... I'm talking about items that add max hp bonus like the RING46 I mentionned in a previous post. You put a negative Current HP Bonus to counter the Max HP Bonus (of type 0) where you can just use Max HP Bonus of type 3

For some reason, on my install the items are modified in the items folder, but promptly get overriden by the items in the override folder which are vanilla. (So, Near Infinity shows two Gauntlets of Dexterity, one modified by IR in Items folder and another one in override folder. The override one ultimately ends up in the game and it has Dex to 18 instead of Dex +2)

Is there a way to correct this?

Pretty sure none of those mods touch items. Other items are showing up as Vanilla too.

Maximum HP Bonus

You seem to use a combination of Maximum HP Bonus (#18) and Current HP Bonus (#17) to prevent healing on equipping the item. Is there a reason to that instead of using #18 with type 3?

EDIT : Wow that post was quite unclear... I'm talking about items that add max hp bonus like the RING46 I mentionned in a previous post. You put a negative Current HP Bonus to counter the Max HP Bonus (of type 0) where you can just use Max HP Bonus of type 3

I understood anyway. ;) I don't remember if there was a particular reason to not opt for 'type 3'. Opting for it would make a fully healed character become "wounded" when equipping such item, but at the same time it fixes a small issue regarding saved games forcing the current hp bonus/penalty when loaded. If we can live with the former issue and I don't find any other reason to keep the current solution I guess using type 3 could actually be better. Thanks for pointing it out.

Bands of Focus

Are Barbarians suppose to be able to wear Bands of Focus?

If so then Barbarians can achieve 100% physical immunity with Bands of Focus, Orc Leather Armor, Fortress Shield, Roranarch's Horn and Hardiness on.

I'll prevent them from using them in the upcoming hotfixes, thanks.

Items still working as per Vanilla

For some reason, on my install the items are modified in the items folder, but promptly get overriden by the items in the override folder which are vanilla. (So, Near Infinity shows two Gauntlets of Dexterity, one modified by IR in Items folder and another one in override folder. The override one ultimately ends up in the game and it has Dex to 18 instead of Dex +2)

Is there a way to correct this?

Are you using TuTu? Mmm...

Yup. Easy Tutu V4 with all the fixes and stuff. Is that a problem? I really love the concept of this mod and would like to play it for BG1 bit.

Edit:

The main component will not affect Tutu items at this time, but support is planned. Most other components should be fine on Tutu.

Well, damn! Where's the facepalm icon and can some one point me to the crying icon while at it? There goes the plan to play with IR on Tutu.....

Double edit: Does the main component also include changes to special weapons in the game? I have the Long bow of Marksmanship and it doesn't have the 10% crit chance that IR adds. Doesn't that fall under weapons change component?

There is no reason why they should not be able to use the Bands of Focus. One case-limit situation where a Barbarian might reach 100% physical resistance can not lead to the proposed change.

Link to comment

With Salk on this one. That situation needs powergaming and meta-gaming out the wazo to happen. If a player is willing to build a 'perfect' character, then this mod will forever be stuck in closing arguably uber-build loop holes as such gamers will always find creative ways to game the system.

Bands of Focus

I'm away from the item's description, but iirc the lore doesn't imply barbarians should be able to wear it.

I agree that blocking exploits should not become the mod's ultimate goal, but if there is a conceptual reason to block them, I say go for it.

That said, barbarians shouldn't really be using tower shields either.

Bands of Focus

I read its lore and it doesn't seem like there would be a reason to keep Barbarians or Berserkers (or any other warrior class, for that matter) out of it.

Still the "Usable by" field states that they can be worn only by True Fighters, Kensai and Monks.
