Hotfixes for IR v3 Beta (September 12th 2013) - OUTDATED

Greetings. I installed it and got some errors, but in the bit I really wanted, the kensai wearing bracers, I got no errors. But when I run the game, my kensai can only wear the bracers of blinding... something. Can someone help me? Thanks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ok, so I managed to make him able to wear the bracers of defense, im addition to the previous... but still, the other bracers... zip, nothing...

Well, I really have no idea, it installs fine for me.

 

As a wild guess, do you have "read only" flag set on your BG folder? IIRC it is also advised to not install the game in C:\Program Files on Vista, because it prohibits file changes there.

 

Do you have other mods installed over bracers? Contents of WeiDU.log would be helpful.

Ok, so I removed the read only from the folder, and it's not installed on C:\Program Files.

In Tutu there are only Bracers of Defense 6/7/8 and of Binding that kensai can equip with that component. Bracers of Archery remain restricted because ranged weapons are prohibited to kensai anyway, and the rest are gloves and gauntlets, not bracers.

 

Now that I think of it, there are only Bracers of Defense that become widely available, plus Binding and a couple of high-level SoA/ToB items.

That's my fault. Bonus caster level didn't work for priest spells, because the parameter was 0, not 1. Unfortunately, I forgot to check out I hadn't broken anything before applying the change. Turns out, the param should be 0 for wizard spells, and 1 for priest ones. No idea about innates.

I am not sure if bonus to caster lvl works correctly.

 

For exemple, I have Edwina level 22 sorceror, wearing Robe of Arcane Might, Golden Ioun Stone and Amulet of power. (so +6 caster level) and "edit ": also potion of power (+2). So : +8 caster levels

 

But if I cast Simulacrum, the level of the simulacre remain the same even if Edwina is naked.

 

Maybe bonus to caster level does'nt stack ? If yes it's not very exiting.

Maybe because the spell is capped at lvl20 like all others unless you install a mod to have them increase in power beyond that (Spell-50 mod)

 

At least that's 3 more items to hotfix :

 

- Amulet of Power (amul21.itm) only grants casting level bonus to priest

 

- Golden Ioun Stone (helm23.itm) only grants casting level bonus to mage

 

- Potion of Power (potn41.itm) only grants casting level bonus to priest (through potn41.spl)

 

while they are usable by both classes.

Simulacrum is not capped at level20. Just tested with Edwina level 35 . And that's why SCS mages use simulacrum a lot.
