Chilvence Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I have decided to start testing gemrb heavily, since I have a lot of free time lately. Following Beholder's example I will post any bugs I find here, since I may or may not be able to resolve them myself, and its a good way to discuss (and I've never really liked the sf tracker anyway...) bg2 bugs: 1 : With a fresh install of bg2 and gemrb 6.6-git it seems that choosing a thief or a bard or any kit of the above has the effect of deleting some npc characters on game start. A game started from original bg2 works with gemrb however, so it must be specific to whatever happens at game start. Oddly enough, Imoen appears despite minsc, jaheira being absent... further on, Korgan, Aerie are present but not Anomen, Nalia. 2 : Selling a dire charm scroll causes segfault
Chilvence Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 regarding 1 - I just tried to trick gemrb by transitioning to the coronet with original BG2, but anomen and nalia were stripped from the game when I loaded with gemrb - if that helps narrow it down. regarding 2 - https://rapidshare.com/files/336337173/0000...09-daylight.zip The offending item should be in a scroll case in minsc's things. ps I'm out of touch, is there a less annoying file upload site than rapidshare?

Apart from the above, all I have run into are minor annoyances, which probably aren't worth mentioning at this stage. So far, still in Athkatla, made a deal with Bodhi, working my way through city side quests...
Guest i30817 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Nice work I'm really impressed how much of the game can be played without game crashing bugs. I even loaded a BGT game on it. Viconia was constantly adding and removing reputation, but that's likely because i didn't start a new game.

Chilvence Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 New (sort of) gamebreaker 3: DUAL classed thief/fighter loses all of their previous skill points in find traps etc when regaining thief class... also, I seem to have four slots in two weapon style now. I could have had three to begin with and added one as a fighter, but I am not sure...

Chilvence Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 hmm, actually the bar never changed when I went from swashbuckler to fighter - I could even use the abilities, at their base scores. Here's a save, although its worth mentioning I tweaked it with shadowkeeper to see if it would keep the scores on level up - originally the scores were 0+ability bonus http://www.2shared.com/file/VxbpWB97/dualclassleveling.html
