So what's the problem with wall spells?

Why can't they be done? Is there no way to make parallel line in the game?

 

I was thinking of a spell like a wall with a fissure in the middle that a warrior could hold (damage to the wall transfered in percentage to the warrior of course).

Well, they can be done, but they are a pain to handle because the engine don't truly supports this kind of AoE "projectile", forcing us to use strange workarounds to implement them. To add insult to injury, the AI can't really cope with spells such as Wall of Fire, and thus you'd be able to heavily exploit these spells (e.g. making the target walk into it tons of times in a row - though I could tweak WoF to make it affect the target only once every x/time). All in all, I'm not sure the end result would be worth the effort... :)
